Ian Royal I'd like to think we're aiming a little higher, but Mackie would certainly fit the 'Reading Way'. Honest hardworker with a decent record.

I like him. and I'd be happy with us signing him.

I'd be fairly happy with this. I hope we sign him he looks ok. What do other people think? Should we sign him?

He's a decent player from what I saw of him a QPR over the last few seasons. With Pog probably gone by the end of August, I'd have him in.

Pepe - you are clearly ITK and I apologise. In my defence, there were quite a few stories around yesterday (examples below) of the forest bid being rejected. I do feel like we have missed out on this one as he looks like a snip for them. More of an all round player than Alfie, works very hard and can play as a lone striker. I suspect that we are trying to offload Pog before we make serious bids for other strikers.

Not bad as a back up but not good enough for a team supposedly favourite to go up. Unfortunately everyone is expecting us to challenge but playing possesion football without a star man to put the chances away ( like Southampton had) I think we may be another Blackburn or Bolton

Is it that difficult to look mere posts above yours?

All I see is "he's going", which doesn't mean he's gone. No offical confirmation there. And none of that means I wouldn't be happy if we signed him, I was talking purely hypothetical.

So nyar to you Mr Gheyface.

Is that one of the Kuwaiti's Forest are linked with? What's he worth? Any good?

I think him & Cox need a fresh start basically.

He's 28, should be in his 'prime'.
