Sutekh General question for all u21 academy games, what standard of officials are used, would it be correct to presume they’re younger officials that would be early in their careers and generally reffing in non-league or is there a set specific for academy games?

Found this- maybe level 3 ?? or level 4 ??
Level 1 – National List (Football League and Premier League)
Level 2a – Panel Select (Conference Premier)
Level 2b – Panel (Conference North and South)
Level 3 – Contributory (Contributory Leagues)
Level 4 – Supply ( Supply Leagues)
Level 5 – Senior County (County Leagues)
Level 6 – County (County leagues)
Level 7 – Junior (Amateur leagues)
Level 8 – Youth (Junior Referee below age of 16)
Level 9 – Trainee

Thanks for that, also I found a brief discussion about them on the refchat website for those that know their refereeing

Royals and Racers Holzman sent off 65 mins

Dismissed for a second yellow, Osorio should have got a straight red later for smacking one of the Cardiff players in the face.

Not a very good second half showing from RFC.

I don't understand why the ref only gave Osorio a yellow card. If he (or his assistant) saw it, it's a straight red all day long. I know the Cardiff guy had a nibble at him when the ref's back was turned, but no excuse for that response - it was thuggish, plain and simple.

I've seen the team on several occasions this year thanks to these YouTube broadcasts and it's a bit disappointing to say that those in the first team won't be fearing being replaced any time soon.

Think Senga at 18 is a really good prospect. Despite the sending off today i have been impressed with Louie Holzman(aged 19) and think he could have a bright future

So a u16 or lower match can be done by a relatively junior referee - Dick Sawdon-Smith was doing a lot of the small sided matches for Reading until fairly recently for example, and I think he was level 5. Suspect a level 6 ref could land them.

I’m not certain but I think u23s will be level 4.

That seems to be an attitude the club have had for a good while now so not new but you’d hope is something that would change esp. if the club wants cat 1 back. Overall it’s the sort of thing Mark Bowen and Michael Gilkes should be demanding a change on.

At least Jonathan Low seems to have done an interview with Noel Hunt and Michael Gilkes.
This is what i wrote to the Media Dept on November 17th
Dear ..... we have exchanged emails in the past, mainly about what i feel is a lack of information coming out of the club regarding the Academy and in particular the U 21’s.
With a quiet period on 1st team matters would it be possible for an interview article with Noel Hunt on the season so far and also about Academy injuries as myself and others know nothing about possible injuries to the following 2 players who seem to disappeared without trace recently.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan
Michael Craig
Also it would also be nice to get an injury update on these 3 players.
Michael Stickland
Jokull Andresson
and exciting young talent Harvey Maunder.

They did nothing !!!!!

Well at least you have an answer on E-Hib today

Getting a bit wet now in Wales.

J Low with the info on Andresson and Stickland https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/foot ... source=nba

FT 3-0 Royals well beaten. Norcott, Beacroft and Furlong probably our best 3 performers on the night.
