Still cannot believe the shambolic circumstances in which Danny Loader left!! He's scoring goals in Porto albeit in their B team 12 goals in 48 games...not to sure of the level of their B team but sure shows we missed the boat on this one.
Just spotted he has one appearance and one goal for their first team.

Oh how we miss having a director of football!!

There's nothing wrong with how Loader left. He had promise so we refused a bid. He got plenty of opportunity and was basically bad, so he left.

Woooh, some B side goals in Portugal about 3 years later. Whoop di do.

James Holden and Jokull Andresson have both been recalled from their loan deals at Maidenhead and Morecambe respectively. Adds fuel to the fire that Rafael will be leaving this window.

Possible, I'm not overly confident about having Andresson start in the Championship based on his showing while out on loan though.

I'm pretty sure there is no intention of starting him, unless Southwood gets injured and with the way Rafael had been playing, I wouldn't be overly confident on him starting either!

We were being told he's much better than Southwood and should be considered as potentially No 1 by some at the start of the season.

So we have U23 games on Monday, Friday, Monday. U18 games on Thursday and Saturday. Plus plenty of Academy players will be involved in the first team on Saturday / Tuesday / Saturday / Wednesday.

Obviously the first team League games are the priority, although you would think that the Youth cup match would be close to the first choice U18 line-up. Hopefully we've learned which players are eligible this time.

But anyway, I reckon that any 14-year-olds in the Academy can look forward to an U18 debut on Saturday.

Yeah really highlights how bleak things are. Talent and Collins are the two “senior” players, using that word loosely.

Daniel-Spray, Paul, Campbell, Okine-Peters, and Greaver are scholars (U18s), as is sub keeper Norcott and Furlong.

The rest are schoolboys.

We have U18s in the first team and U16s in the U23s, so expect to see U14s in the Youth Cup.
