Zip
Royals and Racers He was sub and came on in the B & B cup semi on the 11th

....and scored. I was surprised he was only a sub. Just very odd that he does so well against Brum and has barely been seen since (injuries notwithstanding)

Depends whether you judge him on one brief sub appearance or over a longer period.
The idea that he was ever going to be our ‘saviour’ is hard to get to grips with, there are quite a few better Academy players and Azeez and Ehitb are both better IMHO.

Not convinced by Azeez. Started the season well but has really lacked composure since.

The u23 team seems to be taking some sort of shape since Hunt came in

Heard or seen good things from Ashcroft, Abrefa, Camara, Leavy, Samuels and the Ehibatiomhan’s and picked up some trialists from prem clubs

Be nice if the majority of those stick about and build for next year - they are all very young relatively I think

Anyone know what (if anything) is happening with Nelson Abbey? There seems to be some rumours circling that he won't be staying on. Is he out of contract this summer presumably?

He tweeted about it being his last game at the SCL but then later cleared it up that he meant last game of the season not ever

Didn’t say he had signed a contract or anything though

Hopefully he stays on, there seems to be promise there between him and Dorsett. He could possibly benefit from a loan move himself to a FL club next season as well.

Other way around for me, Clarke looks extremely raw but looks fairly quick, strong and decent in the air with an eye for goal. Agree with Zip to an extent on Azeez. He’s only 20 so time is on his side, but not quite sure what he’s about, what position he’s best in etc

Then again, I thought Howe looked a decent player when he first burst onto the scene and that didn’t turn out well!

I’d say Azeez is quicker by far than Clarke, he’s big but doesn’t use his size in the air. Azeez works a lot harder, been noticeable in the age group games I’ve seen this season that Clark has tended to be off the pace, if anything I’d say there is more of a question about what sort of player Clark is/thinks he is. He looks like a big No9 but doesn’t play like one. He doesn’t stand out in the age groups as a better player than the rest in the way Danny Loader did.
Azeez is a winger, a raw one, but looks best playing wide in a Meite style. But he can play in the middle too and would give us a different option with is pace. He works harder than Clark but agree that both have a fair way to go before they are the finished article. My concern with Clark is he’s the classic big kid who has looked good because he’s been bigger and stronger than his age group but loses that advantage when he hits men’s football. He may add more to his game, but I’ve not seen it.

Watched Hungerford v Welling, in goal for Welling was Coniah Boyce-Clarke. He was man of the match. His handling and agility was exceptional. His kicking was a little ropey but that could be down to the bumpy pitch. Have seen a number of youth team keepers at Bulpit Lane and he looked different class.

If he signs a new deal that is…

But yes sounds good, would be a sensible addition to the first team squad for next year

One up on the club who didn't even acknowledge the last U23 result on the evening of the game.
