Green I was ever so slightly more central than that, but still right side enough to join in with the "We're the right side of the bank" chants.

Don't go to the Mad Stad.

Moved away or lost the bug? When the kids miss a game I can always offer you a seat in Y25, enjoy a good shout.

Both.

I attend the odd away game and playoff final but that's enough for me.

Under the courage sign on the South Bank about a quarter of the way down.
we were close enough to the away fans to taunt them.

Then run away when things got nasty (ala Swansea, Cardiff Bristol City et al.)

Stood by the corner flag just outside the cover of the south bank. Unless it rained hard then everyone struggled to squeeze under.

Now row HH Y25/26

Although occasionally sitting in the North, or the now and again standing in the Tilehurst end depending on who I was going with, I'd more often than not be on the left of the Southstand.

These days I'm mostly in b18

About 8-10 steps down from the back, almost directly under the sign pointing to the ladies toilets, to the right of the divider as you look at the pitch.
The kind of funny thing about it all was everybody had their "spot", and you'd see the same faces around you virtually every week.
To the left of me, (rather appropriately) most weeks would see a group of Labour councillors. Salter and Howarth were there every game I can remember.

Terminal Boardom Ahh, Mike Conroy. The Jock without a brain.

That explains why he asked my sister out.

Ha ha. Went as an extra for the series "The Manageress". Think I got 10 quid for my efforts.

SPARTA Just out of interest, for the older heads on here - where did you stand at Elm Park and where are you sat now at the Madstad?

I do miss the old girl.

Y25 AA. Almost the same view point, albeit higher in comparison. Football wouldn't be football without the noise and closeness to the away fans.

Back of the Southbank, just past the clock towards the away end. now I'm in Y24 row FF.

Miss the Elm Park atmosphere so much. Playoff game v Tranmere was amazing atmos even if the result was pretty much in the bag and the game was a bit drab.

I remember a couple of games in the southbank and a boxing day game in the Tilehurst/southbank corner but my normal spot was (triangle marks the spot).

Used to be me and my Mum most home games. My uncle used to stand a few steps up with one of his mates.

Mum wasn't a southbank 'type' so I rarely got to smell or stand in the fabled piss rivers.

Usually the West Terrace, near the back, just to the right of the goal.

Went to the South Bank as a refugee for the infamous Bury League Cup game, and the Town End for the sell out v Bolton in the season we got to the Wembley Play Off Final.

Normally half way up the SB, right by the yellow walkway nearest the Town End.

Tilehurst End when Pompey visited

By the amount of folk around Reading that say "they miss the Southbank" it must have held around 6000

Yep down from red dots and not far from the white crush barriers, now we sit Y25 Row U and probably 4 of us from the South Bank now sit together

If only they'd have suggested that any Southbankers who wanted to keep the atmosphere all sit in the same section I never know (seeing that you went up to the building site which was the Madejski and could select your seat)

Tilehurst End for me (unsurprisingly...) would lean on the wall at the front at the far right towards the South Bank, occasionally sitting on it if the stewards were being friendly while the old man would be further back leaning on one of the barriers.

Used to love it when the sweets came around (no pedalo) or heading to the back of the terrace to grab a dodgy hotdog.

Had a few games on the South Bank, including that rain out against Bury, always used to spend ages looking at all of the programmes in that little hut in the South-West corner.

Really wish something of the stadium had survived, it's still weird going to the Spread Eagle and not having the ground there. Every time I walk down Norfolk Road part of me imagines the Tilehurst End will still be just around the corner
