Good point. It's more in hope than anything else. It's a quick fix to get some decent cash in though.

I actually think there is a very good chance he will be sold in Jan and as we have Feds as back up, it would not be a huge blow to our play off chances. Sadly if we sell him for lets say 7-8 million, we would probably get 1 million to spend on players....t'is the reading Way. Would probably finance the permenant signing of Sharp and and extended contract for Baird. This would hardly be moving forward, just standing still and maintining what we have at the moment, although the clubs PR Machine would no doubt hail it as a masterstroke of business.

Sadly you are probably right. It's the obvious thing to do though. Federici has his faults but is more than good enough for the level we're at & if we used the proceeds to get 3-4 new faces in for January then I'd be a bit sad but much happier overall.

No, but he hasn't put anything like as much in anywhere near as much as he and his disciples like to imply and , at the same time, has benefited very substantially from his involvement with the club.

Additionally, it seems to me that some of the black holes were associated with him wanting to get some of his money back and he is now doing his best to get as much back as he can (his eagerness to get his hands on the dosh might have led to him selecting a duff buyer?).

As for brilliant business man, the last few years of his CV aren't looking anywhere near as good!

In my opinion, a number of clubs have probably already looked at Federici and he would be more likely to move, given that he is not now considered number one. Still, it would, admittedly, be difficult to turn down major bids for either.

Federici's rather generous contract he signed after promotion is probably a significant stumbling block to any potential move right now. Makes more sense for him to bide his time here knowing that McCarthy will probably be off in Jan or the summer, then he holds the cards with his contract up in 2015.
