Royalee McCarthy Uncomfortable on the ball which doesn't fit this "style" we're trying to achieve.

McAnuff
Pearce
Hector To quote Dave Kitson "Scotland is where clubs send youngsters who aren't good enough to play in the top English leagues to have a spell in an easier league in the hope that a naïve manager in England will take a punt". A couple of decent months in a league most on here deride mercilessly and suddenly he's our defensive saviour.
Gunter

Blackman
Williams
Drenthe
Guthrie Hasn't had a decent game in months and slows our play down to a crawl.
McCleary Woefully out of form.

Pogrebnyak

Subs:
Federici
Kelly
Gorkss
Akpan
Taylor
Obita
Le Fondre

P!ssed Off Hector has to start.
If he can't get into the First X1 now then he might as well hand in a transfer request.

From the sounds of it Hector will start against Watford:

"Michael is back with us now, which is good. He needs to be playing regularly, so it would be no good if he came back from a period and was just sat on the bench or in the stand. Youngsters need to be playing," said Adkins.

"We’ve had two centre halves in Pearcey and Kaspars, with Morrison being out injured, then knowing we can play a full back in that position, while we’ve had Sweeney and Keown on the bench recently. It’s only fair we bring Michael back to have a good look at him, and he’ll be involved at the weekend."

said Nige.

If he was a midfielder/striker then obviously "he'll be involved" could mean he'll come off the bench but how often do CB's come off the bench though? It certainly isn't something a manager would plan to do in advance.

Ugwu and Tshibola, according to the article, are also travelling with the squad to Watford, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be on the bench or starting.

Federici

Gunter
Pearce
Gorkss
Obita

Guthrie
Williams
McAnuff

Blackman
Pog
McCleary

Would happily see Hector start, but not sure he's had long enough to develop an effective partnership, and I want Obita as a left sided option at full back so Gorkss' experience may prove useful.

Why are you all so scared of Hector starting ? Gorkks and Pearce have been terrible. Hector can't be any worse and we need somebody more comfortable on the ball. Thankfully Adkins has some bottle.

He needs to see him play to see if he can hack it, makes sense.

And we need some pace back there.

So you start with a striker who never scores goals backed up by a midfield that never scores goals?
Are you looking for what used to be a regular score at Watford, 0-0?

Not sure it's wise to play a right back and a player who is completely untried at this level and pining for another club at the back.

Given our under 21`s are currently 2-0 up at Chelsea chuck them in! OK they may be at little knackered but they seem interested

Can't see Pog keeping the score to single figures behind that rather lightweight back line, let alone a clean sheet. McCarthy might sneak a consolation goal upfront though. Gets my vote.
