Stuka Yeah I'll go

In all honesty I won't be too upset if we lose because promotion will mean we'll get a battering again week on week like the last time.

Worse than getting battered by Barnsley and Sheff Wed?????

I live in Taiwan, but have flown back for the run ins to all the previous play off's and am just arranging time to be back for the Donny away game end of the month.
Very much IN.

Came back from holiday and returned afterwards for the 2011 PO Final. Missing the biggest games in my clubs history is a no no, it doesn't matter where I am, I'm seeing my club at Wembley, that is huge.

Was there for Wembley I, and at Cardiff, my brother got married on the same day as Wembley II so I missed that one, this time I'm due to arrive back in the green and pleasant on 22nd May.

I hope to God we make it, if we do, I will definitely be there.

I'd be so utterly pissed off if I missed it and we won, finally. It just would be nice, for me, to say "I was there." Who wouldn't?!

Long way to go yet. Finding some semblance of footballing skill needs to occur first for our minor miracle to happen.

liamobey
Binfield Royal
liamobey I've been to 3 playoff finals.

The second one in Cardiff hurt more than the first.
The Dido song "Thank You" montage at the end of the highlights I taped, bringing me to floods of tears every time. Cureton's little smiley face after scoring the first. The Darren Caskey unused sub incident.....and I still don't know what Pardew was doing starting Jimmy McIntyre.
Anyway. The first Wembley I was a bit too young for it to really hit me, and I was way too excited about the new yellow goalie top than I was about the game in the end.
The last Wembley one just made me numb......I was back at Paddington by final whistle, tbh. Chasing the booze.

I will not be going this year if we make it. I'm glad to say that I'll be on holiday. I am not going to anymore games this season and it's pointless going to the semi's because if we do make the final I won't be able to go.

Just wondered if anyone else is in this situation and if anyone's just satisfied watching the games on TV these days?

You are Adam Federici and ICMF

Am i the only person on here who doesn't have a clue what all these acronyms mean?

This is it... what's the point of suffering the pain if you don't get to revel in the joy.

Never watched Reading in a play-off final, so on that condition and that condition only, I would go for sure.

95 Totally distraught after the game, still not watched the video beyond the pen. Got back to my local, siting there with a dace like a wet weekend when some bright spark said " don't worry, it's only a game". It was all I could do to avoid planting one on him.
03 bitterly disappointed, legged it back to Cardiff Central, on the first train out and sat in the Golden Cross in Tywford before some of my mates had crossed the Severn Bridge. Only to get the piss ripped by Twyford's only Millwall supporter. Discretion being the better part, I supped up and bade farewell.
11 having already achieved what I never thought possible this was just a cracking day out with a shit result, happened before and no doubt will happen again.
Will I go this year? you bet.

Apologies, I thought it was a sarcastic remark. I can't think why I would think someone would reply like that on HNA :!:

I've been thinking about this in recent weeks. The 4 Sky games I've been to have all been universally shit, but I wasn't at the Leicester and Derby games in 2006, or the Forest game in 2012 and also didn't see the Southampton defeat which gave us the title in 2012 through being on the way back from the Mad Stad. So I don't think I could ever forgive myself if I decided against going and we actually did it.

Plus I'm pleased it's on Saturday this time, the whole of the bank holiday weekend to celebrate if we go up and more time to recover before going to Wembley the following week for the England game if we lose. Looking back now going to Wembley for the England-Switzerland game the following Saturday in 2011 was too soon.

It's unlikely I'll be going to any more games this season (haven't been to any since Jan as it is), no weekend home games left...apart from the one weekend I can't make, so I may be more up for it than would otherwise be the case.
