George Cain - The Butcher of Bootle. He just gave a free kick but never signalled which way it was. Can't blame Boro or Hignett for taking advantage. All the blame is heaped on that inept excuse of a referee.

Cain obviously wasn't Abel.

No, they just don't need to rush the deal through

They'll still sell, just in a few months when they know whether they are selling a Mid-table Champ side, a play-offs level Champ side or even a Prem side?

That will ultimately be what determines the price

@sportingintel 46m
@Royaltypoints Zingarevic at Reading def NOT in that category. (referring to Leeds) and delay this time, I'm confident, is cos they DON'T want woeful legacy.

That's the guy who was all over Anton when he took over here. Initially very suspicious about him until they had an interview, then his opinion changed about AZ and the 'family money'. If anyone is watching our take-over closely it is him, and he seems content that we're on the right path still.

Pepe the Horseman Poor guy. Hopefully he'll end up at a more likeable club.

Poor guy? Well, he's not been treated particularly well but 4 years ago he was an ex-professional footballer who never quite made it at the highest level, in a coaching / scouting job where I'd imagine he would command a max of £60k pa.... Now looks like shortly he could have received 2 £m payouts for perceived failure in management in the space of 18 months.

Fcuking decent turnaround if you ask me!

He played for Arsenal - hardly not the "highest level" :roll:

He played 60 games over a 5 year period when Arsenal floated around 5th position. I'd agree with RR that he never quite made it at that level.

Trust you to pick on one insignificant element of a post and completely ignore the point being made.

And be completely wrong about that as well.

"Rolling Sodding Eyes" at you too.

Have heard a rumour that Madejski is in talks to regain control of the club. Don't know where the money would come from though. Maybe he has some partners lined up.

Would be gerat news - at least we will be able to get back to annual cloth cutting and no delusional talk from nobbers about billionaire investors spunking money on Messi and Ronaldo.
