While I appreciate the consortium should be multiple people with a combined net worth in the billions, isn't that the sort of thing TSI was meant to be? Although I have a bit more confidence since the guy who brokered the Man City takeover is involved.

It wasn't even that, Boris was the guarantor, Anton was trying to raise money by other means and it didn't come off. Basically he ran out of his money and couldn't get other investors on board. So did a runner, he was probably no longer welcome tbf.

Whether Antons first lot of money came as a gift to him from is father I don't know, but he was never going to bank roll Anton.

The danger signs were there right from the start when Anton talked about Reading as a great business opportunity .... he obviously thought that investors would flock to invest their millions into turning little Reading into a Champions League club, given its excellent proximity to Heathrow, the lack of other Prem clubs in close proximity, etc.
