Royal Biscuitman
tidus_mi2 I have no qualms with them taking their time, especially after the whole TSI fiasco
Remember, they passed the test too.

I think that's his point. Had the funding been better checked it may not have gone ahead and RFC wouldn't have been selling players to fund tax bills

I don't think TSI's bid would ever fail the FPPT as they have always had sufficient money via Boris. The fact they chose not to invest it in the club at a later date couldn't have been foreseen at that stage.

Indeed.

I don't really understand why that is proving so difficult for people to grasp.

It hasn't transpired that TSI were funded by a bunch of money-laundering criminals, or by a bunch of skint chancers.

There's bugger all that anyone can do if the supposed funders who passed the tests and went through all due diligence decide they're not going to put money in after all. Nothing at fault with FPPT or RFC's dd.

It could happen to any club at any time.

I wasn't particularly suggesting it was a failure of the FPP tests for the whole TSI mess, more that, with that in mind, they may be taking more time to be more assured that financial backing will actually be there this time.

Maybe they should force owners to resit the FPP test every year

I guess there is no FPP test to someone wishing to buy a stadium and all their assets (other than players) from a club, just the club itself.

That the takeover would be completed 'by the end of the week' 'in two week's time' 'tomorrow,' etc etc.

I've seen that numerous times from multiple sources.

Unless they have a source that works for the FA then really no one knows when they will approve their end of the bargain.

A while ago!!! But it's not a fiasco.....it takes as long as it takes, better than them not checking stuff out. It's not just 1 person bound to take longer.......calm down!

That's the trouble with a Thai takeaway. Always takes longer than you think!
