Anyone hear the James Harper interview on BBCRB before the game. Clearly never wanted to leave Reading, and admitted to chasing what he had at his other clubs but never found it. Surprised he's only 33 and now without a club. You would think he could do a job at somewhere like Fulham, Brentofrd, Rotherham, etc.

tough game once you reach 30 these days.

His career has steadily gone downhill since leaving Reading, he last played for Barnet in the Conference, he's definitely not on a Championship club's radar.

For those of you of a certain age, just happened on this Wiki page.

We are always harping on about how very few ex RFC players seem to progress upwards in their career after leaving us, well Bob Lenarduzzi certainly should be added to the select band of ex RFC who have gone on to bigger and better things!

I believe he last played for Basingstoke Town FC in the FA Cup and Conference South.

I love Mad Dog. After years of decline post-Wembley '95 he helped put the fun and pride back into Reading FC. He may be very limited as a coach but he deserves proper 'legend' status at Reading.

Bristol Rovers away midweek in sleet/snow he came over & told us all to give their keeper a heap of abuse.
Seem to recall Holloway getting in a bit of a strop about him, probably because we nicked the points with a Caskey free-kick.

I seem to have a vague recollection of one manager who tried to have the dugout/technical area moved so he didn't have Mad Dog beathing down his neck all game. Have a feeling that was Holloway.

Love Glen Little - shows that the goal against Plymouth wasn't a fluke as his is pretty much a carbon copy!

getreading Former Reading FC manager Ian Branfoot reflects on when he won 13 consecutive games http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/berksh ... an-8572646

er.... except if you read the article, he doesn't mention it at all. In fact when asked about it at the end he talks about the Simod Cup.

Remember that so well, told us their keeper was dodgy so to get in his head.

Caskey free kick in the 70th or so, and me praying for the ball to stay in the middle of the pitch for the rest if the game as I had Caskey and 1-0 at about 66/1. Poor student and all that...
