Who is your least favourite current Reading player?

Gunter for me. Absolute wimp of a player, seemingly forever leaking goals by defending poorly at the far post or in failing to stop a cross. Can think of very few good games he has had. Not hugely good in the air, rarely provides assists, he seems to have very few actual strengths to his game. And somehow he's been made our uninspirational captain

It's still Akpan, just - but Gunter is running him seriously close whilst Akpan continues to improve.

Danny Guthrie - Frustrating in as much as he never seems to go forward, only sideways or backwards. I get the feeling he was quite a disruptive influence in the dressing room and is never fit.

I've never seen Blackman not apply himself? Plus it doesn't appear to be his fault every time he's dropped? (although admittedly I'm basing this on second hand information)

I'm with Royal Ginger on this. Majority of games I've seen Blackman he just looks completely uninterested.

As much as I don't rate Akpan, it's not his fault he's not good enough.

For me probably Drenthe, I was in somewhat agreement over HRK but then I realised I don't really dislike him, more of how far backwards he has gone since the relegation season from the Premier League when he looked like he could really be a star in the Championship.

Royston Drenthe, still a Reading player but out on loan. He's my least favourite because of his off the field antics and attitude.

Also, WTF is the point of this thread? - Are you looking for someone to boo and trying to gauge whether you've picked the right target?

You may not think Gunter is very good, but as long as he does his best it's the decision to play him that needs to be called into question and that's down to the manager. Sean Cummings is almost fit again, so may offer some competition.

FWIW, Gunter playing on the right wing with the right winger in front of him does perform well.

Spoke with a Macclesfield fan earlier in the year. He said they were amazed Blackman was at a Championship club. The most positive thing he could say was to pay testament to the player's self-belief.

And on the basis of what I have seen I'd say that Blackman actually doesn't actually lack application, certainly effort, but he certainly lacks talent
