Nameless Seems neither Watford of Notts County are prepared to change the Saturday games.

Presumably this is an FA decision, we can't decide when to play it, we play when we are told to.....

Not sure that's the case. Apparently Villa/West Brom had refused a request from the FA to play a replay, should it be needed, next Monday. I guess at the end of the day we have to take what money we can get and if the FA are offering a TV deal we have to take it. Knowing our luck it will be BTSport again but this time no free to air.

Surely the FA should make Watford and Notts County move their game to Friday....this would solve all issues

I can't believe you'd be allowed to switch a game to Friday at this short notice. Assume the Police would have a big say in any movement and would have any plans already in place.

But it should have been sorted beforehand

"Right if Bradford and Reading draw, then their game(s) against Notts C and Watford will then take place on the Friday evening".....then as soon as the final whistle went on Saturday plans were being put in place.

If I was Steve Clarke I'd be tempted to put out a second string team v Brighton and Watford. Would give at least 5-6 first teamers a week's break. Nothing to lose and by doing this. They look collectively knackered on Saturday.

The point is that we shouldn't be having this debate as we shouldn't have been put in this position. The replay should be played on Tuesday 7th April with our game at Blackpool being cancelled - end of story!

The other 3 QFs had either 7 or 8 April set aside for replays. The Semi-finals are on the 18/19 April, so why the rush? As it is, next Monday's date has still not be confirmed and, according to both the RFC OS and the Bradford OS, will not be confirmed until all the other QFs have taken place, i.e, after tonight's Arsenal/Man Utd match. There is nothing on the OS to say when tickets will go on sale. If it is confirmed tomorrow for next Monday, it's gonna be ever so tight.

Not sure the FA can force postponement of Football League games. They are different competitions. Would depend on what agreements are in place over priority of competitions.
League games on later cup round dates get postponed because that is the agreement already in place.
totally agree that this should have been thought through a long while back.

Waiting for confirmation of the date but my Dad and I are going, doesn't seem we can buy tickets until the day is confirmed, which is likely to be shortly after the Man U - Arsenal game finishes.

Haag Royal Apologies if this has already been mentioned but Just got ticket for Watford and during the call discussed the replay date.

Evidently Reading and Bradford asked Watford and Notts County to move the games to Friday and both refused. Can't blame them really

Whole situation reminds me a bit the year we went down from the Prem first time when Portsmouth fielded a weakened side v Fulham. Fulham won and went on to stay up on GD. Hope we don't field a weakened team on Saturday but on the other hand would not blame the club at all if we did.

I very much hope we rest players on Saturday if the game is on Monday, the league is over for us this season as I see it, some think we can still be dragged in to the relegation fight, I can't see it. FA Cup is the priority now, play the best team tomorrow and hopefully get a win, rest players against a team we were likely to lose to anyway.

Pretty much this for me. If we win tomorrow then I think we're definitely safe. Even a draw and we'll probably be ok.

Don't understand why nothing can be confirmed until after tonight's game. Even if that does go to a replay it couldn't be played next week anyway with Arsenal playing in the Champions League. I'll be amazed, and disappointed, if BT don't show us. Hopefully it will be free to view again, but i'm not entirely confident it will be.

Are we safe from relegation? - No.

The club need to fight doe a fixture arrangement that allows us to field a full strength team in the Cup and League otherwise we'll look foolish if we lose a league game due to a weakened side and then end up relegated by 1 point, particularly if we also lose to Bradford.

I don't really fancy having to wait a month to discover whether we make it through or not tbh. In for Monday.

Of course the FA won't change the date. They refused to switch the FA Cup semi-finals to help Chelsea in 2011/2012 to give them an extra days preparation for the only representative left in Europe from England.

All depends on the Brighton game. Lose that and Saturday becomes more important. Claridge said on the FLS that Rotherham's 40 points was enough. Not so sure about that, but I'm also not sure at all that the average needed to stay up in the last 10 years, 48, will be required at all.
