Feel for Feds as he'd played really well. +1 to the real comments above, it's one of those things but looking forward to many more top notch performances in the future

Ian Royal It's a poor effort to support Fed by highlighting other similarly important errors.

Something that really doesn't need a new thread and just ends up looking petty, small minded and negative after a great performance.

My thoughts exactley Ian
I guess snowball thought he was being clever but in the end sounded the oppposite.

Imagine if games were analysed like that

Lower West
Snowball Mackie's poor run off Pog when we had a 2-on-1 probably cost us, at least, a clear shot at goal.

McCleary completely fluffed two crosses.

The CBs were nowhere near Sanchez for his goal and McCleary was rinsed.

Ozil was given acres of space to put in the perfect pass

Hector miscalculated a clearance, missed the ball and Wellbeck was through on goal

Hector got wrong side of Ramsey, but luckily Ramsey hit the post

Williams fluffed two chances

I'm sure there were others. Oh, and feds made a mistake...

Is this how you analyse every game? :(

Of course not. Just making the point that many players made mistakes, but Feds' mistake
is highlighted and will be remembered

From Despair To Where? Irrespective of the underlying sentiment, what an utterly pointless thread. Why dwell on the negatives, it's not like it's a League 1 side that klocked us out. Some food for thought, Ozil and Sanchez cost Arsenal more than the combined fees for every player we have ever signed.

Not dwelling on negatives. Supporting Feds.

On the plus side, I'm sure Ronald Koeman now knows a bit more about him.

This was my thought too!

As a fellow GK my heart sank when I saw it. It's thankless sometimes and it's great to see everyone squarely behind him :)

Ian Royal I'm more upset he didn't come to the fans after the match (that i saw). But i have no intention of giving him stick. He got unlucky.
Shit happens.

could see on the TV that he was absolutely ruined.
no way he could have hung about to take any post game accolades from anyone.

I think you could see that in the way Szczesny was one of the first players to console Feds, don't think there are any keepers who enjoy seeing goals like that.

No Fixed Abode

Whichever way you look at it. No pro keeper should make that mistake. Not even a Sunday league keeper.

Feds a couple of seasons ago was pushing for a move away from Reading. He said he wants to be in the Premier League. Perhaps this will bring him back down to earth and realise he's a good goalkeeper, but not a top goalkeeper. He always has a clanger in him.

Shame such a poor goal was the winning goal. Would have been easier to swallow for Reading fans if Arsenal had perhaps got a 3rd goal.

I'm not going to castig8 him for the mistake, but I'm not going to suck him off and start chucking a load of shit stars on our flag for a fatfuck whose come and get me interview from a few years ago still rankles.

He's always been capable of top saves, but it's things like this which keeps him at our level.

Hopefully he's stopped boohooing by now.
