Losing our club captain on a free is up there with not signing a loan player on very high wages who played well for half a season?
Club captain does not mean much in this context, would you really believe Karacan to deliver more than Mackie if we had both this season?
we were never going to be signing Mackie, and jem was always going to go if he got any sort of serious offer.

the standard of football away from the top 3 is absolutely abysmal in that league.
The club get a free player on low wages who supports the club, the player gets his 'dream' move and has a crack at playing in europe.
