Yes Kes, I remember my Notts County friend talking about him when he was there. What's the Billericay connection, wasn't Richard from Nottingham?

Surely it's more important where Mrs Liburd was at the time. If she was also in Middlesbrough, it adds some weight to your point.

Norfolk Royal
Stevie G 'Buh, buh, buh, bird, bird, bird, Liburds the word', Peter Griffin style, with hands.

This^

I believe he pronounces his name Lye-Burd, so its begging for a rewrite of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Free-Bird' maybe?

Would be quite an effort !
Don't think 'free bird' appears in the song until the very last line.....
Would love to hear the West Stand joining in with lead guitar part.

Not another raw talented youngster, what we need is a proven out and out striker ( at this level) someone of the Jamie Cureton mould.
In fact he is still playing and banging in the goals 19 last season. Would be great to have him back, and what about Mad Dog Allen as assistant to dead pan Clarke, someone with a bit of passion, "He would get those players going".

Yes unbelievable I know , type in a search on this forum, and read what the Philistines post about him, he had the last laugh, big time 6 nil tonking, a very technically skilled player, full of trickery.

Obviously talking about a different player then.

Not sure being in a team that stuck 6 past us gives him 'the last laugh', you'd imagine he'd be rather embarrassed by the performances he put in for us.
It was QPR who had the last laugh when they passed him on to us.
Was impressed that he kept playing so long and was happy to drop right back to the lowest tier to keep playing.

Meaker is possibly the worst wide player I have ever seen in a Reading shirt, Paul Brooker runs him pretty close but Meaker was a huge disappointment at the time, QPR mugged us off bit time.
