Ian Royal Meanwhile Fosu, Stacey, Tanner, Kuhl, Cooper and Samuel are

Stop being such a Little Readinger Mr Royal. You're starting to sound like that Chelsea fellow that frequents this board when Chelsea haven't lost.

That's them crying, not me.

Bedwetting lefties. thats the trouble with benefit Britain Mr Royal, young people all want something for nothing these days.

Still at least they've got time to go to the pictures, not that theres any decent cinemas left.

Unbelievable Jeff
WHAT HAS CLARKE DONE?

Create competition for places. Some of the signings won't work out. Some will.

What it does give is full strength teams for the Cups. Full steam ahead on all fronts.

leicsRoyal Has Jose leant us Hector back and said 'Can you find a nice place on the bench for him all season?'

This is the worry, they have something written in that forces us to play him and break up the McShane-Ferdinand partnership.

Hector can play right back, I'd put him there.

With the news Ola John, (would have preferred Ola Jordan but no accounting for taste), we appear to have 6 loanees signed for the rest of the season:

Andrew Taylor (Wigan Ath)
Alex Fernandez (Espanyol)
Lucas Piazon (Chelsea)
Michael Hector (Chelsea)
Matej Vydra (Watford)
Ola John (Benfica)

Have I missed anyone??

I have never been fully conversant with the FL loan rulings, but as I understand it, we are only permitted a maximum of 5 loan signings in any one 18 man match day squad. Is this still the case? If it is - would Clarke kindly like to explain why he is pissing away the owners money on wages/loan fee for one loanee signing every match?

My tongue in cheek response to our transfer dealings this summer posted earlier in the day is now looking more and more apposite -

Frankly Clarke is behaving like a spoilt kid in a toy shop just having been given some money from a rich uncle.

"I want that one .. and that one ... and one of those .... can I have another one of these please? PLEASE!?. No? Well what if I sell one my other toys that I've grown bored with, THEN can I have that nice new shiny one?"

SCIAG
Maguire No idea as I've not seen half of them play but I don't understand everyone complaining that we have too *many* players.

I mean, what?

The last thing we want is a load of players who are unhappy that they aren't getting their opportunity. We also don't want to be spending money on wages for players who aren't going to be playing - couldn't we spend that money on cutting ticket prices?

Another angle: Stacey and Fosu must have been optimistic that this could be a breakthrough season for them, now they're probably 7th and 8th choices. If they're blocked by bang average players then we don't get the most out of them.

If they're bang average players, then I imagine Fosu and Stacey will get their chance. Craig Tanner, who was supposed to be the best of the lot, has struggled to get a game for Wimbledon and Plymouth, so maybe our youngsters just aren't quite ready.

Not half sure about that. Such a difficult choice!

No one can possibly pick our strongest 11 here. Mainly because no one know what

Piazon
Fernandez
Hurtado
John

are like

I would go with 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-2-1-2/ a variation on 4-4-2 but with a midfield diamond

-------------------Bond-------------------
Gunter-Ferdinand-McShane-Obita
-----Williams---------Quinn/Alex-------
Hurtado------Piazon---------McCleary
-----------Vydra/Orlando---------------

OR

--------------------Bond----------------------
Gunter-Ferdinand-McShane-Obita
-------------Williams/Quinn---------------
Hurtado-------------------------McCleary
-------------------Piazon----------------------
-------Orlando-----------Vydra---------

Difficult to decide for sure who would play and how as there's lots of options but surely that is a good thing and something we haven't had the luxury of for quite some time.

Pepe the Horseman so maybe our youngsters just aren't quite ready.

A sensible comment. A season elsewhere in a lower league of football will do them no harm.

Looks good to me, feel sorry for Tish though. Oh, and forgot the Espanyol guy. God, we've signed a lot of players!

RustyRoyal Bond
Gunter Ferdinand McShane Obita
McCleary/John Quinn Williams Piazon/Hurtado
Sa Vydra

(Blackman as an impact sub)

Not sure how good the wingers are though so can't make a choice on that yet.

Not sure how you will justify dropping Blackman on his current form. I think we'll see Vydra as an impact sub to start with.

Do you see that as a 5-1-4-1-4-3 or 5-1-4-1-4-2-1?

Easy, we just signed Vydra!

Imagine we'll go to 4-4-2 ASAP, perhaps with Blackman remaining on the wing. Can't see Vydra on the bench when fit.
