Lovely being patronised like this.

I generally accept other people's negative impressions of Reading with a shrug, but coming from someone who presumably either lives in or has an affiliation to Liverpool, the barefaced nerve of it is overpowering.

I hope he provides the world with another salvo of dead pan humour after the game.

I thought it was funny, although I'm not sure what he's on about when he says it's impossible to get to the stadium from the train station...

I get the impression that's just something they do every away game, not just picking on Reading.

Thought that was pretty dull tbh. The best swing at us was what, "Faux London wannabes" which doesn't even make any sense.

It's a :| from me

A bit tinpot when I can't even get past the 2nd page of the ill researched gayyer fest without being made to apply for a Capital One credit card.

And faux wannabe is a double negative.

He doesn't support the same team as his dad. Loses all respect right there.

It'll certainly be our biggest test at home this season to date. Clarke has put together a squad that likes to press forward & look to pressure defences

Not a game for us to lose possession or not back track with their runners. I've not heard of some of their signings but am sure our management team have done their homework. Blackman is in hot scoring form along with Sa & McLeary. And Oli Norwood seems to lift his game against us

Is Sa a doubt? Thought I'd read so. They'll cause us problems if we don't keep tight & improve recent weaknesses (lack of fluid link up play, lack of ball retention, inconsistent)

Glad to read Clarke rates Boyd & Kightly so highly as it could well be at least one of them might not start

A good match to show what we're capable of. Won't be many easy games if any this season

fully expect this to be as tough as it gets at home this season. Reading have had some decent performances and by all accounts battered Derby, but lost, after having a man sent off. We will need to be at our best tomorrow.

Decent manager, decent side, should be a belter!

Will be as tough as Derby this one - as Ipswich found out.

Yes don't really get big time charlies at Burnley, usually a good level headed bunch. Now if it was a visit to Brighton on the other hand....

They're just spouting cliches.

Game of two halves. Sick as a parrot.

"should be a belter" - it's Burnley v Reading pal. Have a look at yourself.

Couple more. Wow Burnley's forums are bad.

Need to be totally focused on this one. Reading a banana skin who could topple the apple cart. - C'mon Burnley!!!

We will need to score at least 2 to beat Reading and until we stop playing 3 wingers in midfield it doesn't matter who we play up front we won't do that.

Doesn't mean it won't be a good game. Or do you think it's only Arsenal v Liverpool that can throw up that kind of thing?

Have to agree with this. This looks like a really good fixture to me.

I've got a lot of time for Burnley. They may not have hung around much in the PL, but they got there sensibly and didn't seem to bet the farm.

I don't know about cliches, but I'm loving the mixed metaphor.
