sandman No outstanding candidate really. Pearson and Sherwood, with their massive egos and poor attitudes, are unsuited to Reading and would just be another Adkins/Rodgers type appointment. Personally I'd try and get Rowett or Edinburgh but our fans have shown in recent weeks that they are are against anyone who talks to another club whilst in post so that rules them out and (thankfully) rules out the return of Phil Parkinson as well.

Yes Sandman, we get your point. You are posting the same thing on every thread. Are you mentally challenged?

Fortunately the club agreed with the 60% on here and fired him making us right and your pathetic attempts wrong.

CountryRoyal Sir Steve to be interim for the rest of the season, he will gracefully step down after guiding us to our third championship title.

Pep Guardiola will want the chance to prove he can do the impossible and turn little old reading into a footballing collosus and do the treble in his first season, champions league winners the next, the only domestic club to ever win the World Cup soon after.

Or we're going to get Avram Grant and finish 17th.

CountryRoyal has hit the nail on the head here. Guaranteed to be one of these outcomes.

No to Moyes purely because he's Scottish and look how that's worked out for us so far.

Winston Smith
Greatwesternline i'd like to see the sort of person who is young and has potential:

Michael Ballack
Jari Litmanen
Van Bronckhorst
Robet Pires
Marc Overmars

Pele & Maradona are both free agents atm I think m8

I understand the scepticism, which is why i qualified it with saying who knew that Laudrup was available when Swansea went in for him?

Swansea show a healthy dose initiative and imagination when they look for managers, rather than just looking for who is pale male and stale from the english rejected managers pool

Good, you all deserve to be reminded every day and will be if we appoint someone from another club.

All for Coppell myself, if only because he is sensible and you get intelligent responses from him when you talk to him plus you can see some semblance of a plan when players take to the pitch.

After that Rodgers. Pearson maybe a good option but then how much of that is down to the support of his backroom staff that would cost and arm and a leg to get from Leicester?

If it were to be Coppell, who would be his coaching staff? Would we see a return of Wally Downes and would BMcD come back in as scout? Perhaps Murts on the staff?

It's your own fault, you said you don't like Managers who talk to other clubs. You will all just have to hope the board appoint someone who is out of work.
