Good plan, he's been a tedious pcunt thinking he's taking some hilarious noble stand for ages.

At least I'm just a tedious pcunt.

I hope they started considering options when Clarke asked to speak to Fulham. Obvious options are Coppell and Pearson, but would Coppell return? I doubt if he'd return, but I'd happily be proved wrong, Pearson off field history with Thais probably rules him out, but his experience and history in the championship would be ideal.

Glad Clarke went, I expect as a professional manager he saw his departure coming when he indicated that he'd happily leave Reading by speaking with another club, ignoring the fact that he had brought into Reading numerous staff and received support from the Board. You would have thought he'd prove himself and get Reading promoted as his record as a manager is limited.

Gary Rowett. Keeps his nose clean (for now at least) and has worked wonders with Birmingham. Pearson would be great but he won't last. Sherwood is too dangerous I think he needs to start from the bottom. Coppell no thanks. Lets not taint that amazing memory please

The positives about Coppell, McDermott or Parky is that they'd instantly unite the fans and raise the atmosphere.

That might even hold under a poor start to buy them time.

Martin Kuhl is precisely the sort of manager who has been a success here in the past.

It looks like very slim pickings to me. For me Curbishley & Coppell have been out of the game for too long. I would take McDermott back, he was unfairly sacked in the first place and got a lot out of a poor squad last time in the Championship. Moyes would be great, not sure if he would have much interesting in coming to Reading though.

Neil Warnock basically said he is up for managing in the Championship again after having this spell at QPR....now that would be a laugh......

None of this talk of Moyes or Rodgers please. Deluding yourselves.

Either one of them is nailed on for next mid table Premier League team starting with Newcastle!

Surely it's got to be Warnock with Ian Holloway as head coach. I'd love it

I'd back him! Done a fantastic job with the kids, and they have his respect.

SkyBet:

1/3 - Pearson
10/1 - Kuhl, Parkinson
12/1 - McDermott, Rowett, Bowyer

Pearson in by the end of the day according to my source, the radio.

They're saying that the ball had already started rolling a couple of weeks ago during the Fulham thing so not much more to sort out.
