This guy has made a difference whenever I've seen him.
You didn't see his first start when he was a waste of space then.
Mostly good off the bench but poor starting has characterised his performances so far for me. Partly due to team shape. But then we've been at our best 4-3-3 and worst 4-4-2. And John's a 4-4-2 man really
Although it's true that he's looked less lively when starting than when coming on as sub, it would be unfair to draw too many conclusions from that, as he's started so few games. If you look at what he's done overall, I think he's looked the most dangerous of our wide players so far this season, and should be getting more of a chance.
Perhaps GMac has got the nod recently because he's more help defensively, but as an attacking threat John has looked more likely, I'd say.
