sandman Great news! allows Vydra to run around some more without hitting the net and frees Sa up to dive and sit on his backside moaning when he doesn't get a decision.

Only Reading fans could jump for joy at losing the top scorer.

a rare +1

sometimes you need to take a step back to take a step forwards

I'm not sure what I'm saying

Who's jumping for joy? A couple of people saying they're not too bothered if he leaves, that's about it.

If they've offered 7 figures then more fool them. Suddenly rating him because of a purple patch is foolish. He's been a disaster of a player otherwise, and his attitude stinks! If it frees up funds to keep Vydra, then I'd take that! BM seens to liken him to Long, so you'd think he'll try and keep him if the funds ar there. Vydra's record at this level speaks for itself. He'll come good, he just needs the service and support on and off the pitch.

LWJ Official thread here, heard it from a reliable source that Derby are very interested

Clubs rate him because of his purple patch earlier this season, I expect every Championship club would take him based on that; but they clearly weren't watching him during the previous couple of seasons here! If someone coughs up silly money for him then sell, sell, sell!

I'm in the camp that we should let him go....

We have a talented squad and there are others there particularly Orlando Sa who is waiting to fill the void. Blackman is a useless winger and I'd rather see Orlando and Vydra partnered up front.

Blackman has a poor attitude. The way he behaved towards Steve Cotterill was frankly embarrassing on Saturday. That is not the way a Reading player should conduct himself. I say get him out.

Another Matt Mills who believes his own hype after half a season of decent performances. Let him go, take the cash and get someone else in. When he falls flat on his face (at Derby/Sheff Wed) it won't come as a big surprise.

Just reading the Wednesday forum. Why do they keep using this picture in every post?

Wednesday also linked with Alan Judge of Brentford, so they're clearly after a flavour of the month winger-cum-striker.

Pepe the Horseman Ya man Timmy D reckons he's off to Derby rather than Sheff Wed. Would make more sense, and could probs get more cash out of Derby. Also that would mean he could score the winner against us on his debut.

Only good news if true - hopefully with a bit of the old Nicky Hammond magic we can create a bidding war.

You can't create a bidding war when you've already accepted a bid.

Of course you can. Until the signatures are on the contracts you can gazump to your heart's content.

That "useless winger" has scored more this season than Sa and the much hyped Vydra combined.

You say Blackman has a poor attitude yet want to see Orlando Sa in the team.

andrew1957 Really surprised that so many on here would sell him for 1m or so. I guess it all depends on our ambition for this season. If we have given up on top 6 then I could understand the wish to sell BUT if we have any ambition for top 6 and as he is our only player who currently seems capable of scoring, it seems to me that it is vital we keep him for the rest of the season unless there is a silly bid of say 5M plus - hence I voted for that option.

Personally I think he is underrated and hope he signs another contact - although I think this is unlikely as there will be a long line of clubs keen to sign him in May.

I want us to get the most out of him. But if we're not going to play to his strengths there's no point in him being here and blocking someone else better suited to that role.

CountryRoyal If Blackman goes we'll do well to finish mid-table.

We may, however, score more goals like the one against Brentford...............................

'greed.

We'll definitely be scoring more consolation goals.
