Maybe he WANTS to go? Maybe he doesn't like it here?

Have you thought of that?

One8Seven1* Good. Big wages, big ego. Just a shame we wont see much of the money we get for him, or in wages saved, spent on a decent ambitious replacement!

I doubt he's on anywhere near the amount that his predecessors were on ..

Sutekh According to the Evening Post website Orlando Sa could be about to depart on loan to AEK Athens.

Loosely translated to 'AEK Athens have been given permission to speak to the player ??!!!' He's not done an awful lot wrong when the service is decent, unless someone else is lined up and he needs a striker off the payroll ..

John Smith Imagine being Orlando Sa; do 6 months in a nice city, picking up a fat pay packet and signing on fee. The bloke must be laughing. I expect he'll bang in a reasonable amount in the Greek league too

I have lived in Athens and with a few exceptions, it is an unmitigated shitehole. AEK are also a way down the pecking order behind Olympiakos and Panathinaikos.

From the few games I saw, that league is usually around par with the Scots second tier. the big 2 excepted. At least though, the weather should be better

Fair enough, I'm sure he could probably afford to live in the better areas though. The weather will be nicer for sure. He'll only be there for 9 months anyway!

I'm in no doubt the standard is terrible but a few games in the Europa League will be nice for him.

Were there many Greek Royals whilst you were there?

I quite like him and I want him to stay.

But, if he is never going to get a chance under Brian, it will be better for all concerned if he goes.

If something has happened off the pitch, or if Brian just doesn't rate him, then better that he goes.

But based on his actual performances, it seems hard to understand. Yes there was one rush of blood against Derby, but I can't say I've seen any real evidence of an attitude problem, or a lack of effectiveness. He does a lot of running (esp out to the wings when playing in a 4-3-3), wins his fair share in the air, holds the ball up OK, links with other forwards quite well, and takes his share of chances when he gets them. He hasn't scored that many, but that's mainly because he hasn't had the chance to play in a formation that would let him stay central, and feed off crosses.

He's currently our only experienced option as an out-and-out centre forward, so we'd better have a solid replacement lined up it if he leaves.

Whether he wants to go or not, it means we will have sold our top goal scorer twice in the space of 3 weeks...

Now that's some achievement, for his next trick Nicky Hammond will sell Shane Long to Liverpool.

Can only think he doesn't want to stay. Cant imagine Brian letting him go without giving him a chance . If so I think he has made a very impulsive mistake.

I have a feeling he'll start tomorrow night and it'll be his one chance to impress McDermott.

I think he'd probably say he prefers vaginas if you asked him.

This will be a big loss. He's a much better player than Pogrebnyak.
