Ajax centre backs tend to be quite aggressive ball-winners in a similar mould to McShane and Cooper. I'd rather have a Ferdinand/Zurab/Ingimarsson type to complement them. Hopefully this guy fits into the latter camp, but if he's good enough then it doesn't really matter.
