If we keep the diamond and have no pace in the team - 3-0 Boro.

If we:

Go for two defensive midfielders (possibly Hector and Quinn), and tell them to concentrate on protecting the back four
Play McCleary and John on the wings (so the fullbacks don't have to do two jobs, we get our most dangerous player on the pitch, and we get some proper crosses into our centre forward)
Have Vydra (our most mobile central forward) playing just behind Kermit, and helping out the midfield when needed..

.. then I dunno, but at least we wouldn't have lots of square pegs in round holes, and we might stand a chance of catching a nervous promotion chasing team on the break.

lose by at least 2 - who cares to be honest...

play no loan players and see what we have left can do against where we need to aspire next year - one exception no Cox! when was the last time he scored for us or even looked like it?

Who knows what will happen.

It holds as much suspense as that momentary panic you get when you sit on the bog and the bowl slips a bit
You're relieved nothing bad has happened but there's still a job to do !

I'll go 2-1 boro.

They've won their last four in a row.

I think we might actually nick a draw - 1-1, but we should probably expect to lose by at least 2 clear goals.

Bring Hector back in as a DM for some back four protection, start with some wingers and hopefully nick a draw.

Can you not phrase it to cover us winning as well?

Blimey, that many away fans. You dreamer jimmy. Can hear it now "Come on a tandem, you must have come on a tandem, come on a tandem, you must have come on a tandem". Directed towards Tellor and Mick.

Hector will be gone. The score has no particular relevance. Continue to perm the players and find the right combinations.

I believe we've sold 70 seats already.

5-0 Boro
Their first 2 goals come as a result of handling mistakes from Gunter, who is surprisingly preferred in goal to Al Habsi.
Goals 3 and 4 are conceded after defensive mix ups between central defenders Cox and Piazon and the final goal comes after right winger McShane loses the ball out wide and can't find the pace to get back and rectify his mistake.
Cox will be captain after accepting a new £30k a week 3 year contract prior to kick off, with McDermott commenting that "it's important to keep players of Simons calibre at this club, his goal scoring record speaks for itself"

66 away fans, although 30 of those are actually Newcastle fans who pop down to see what championship football will be like next season :D
