Nick Blackman

Our former striker is not rated by many Derby fans and looks woefully short of confidence. My bet is that he will be sold or at least loaned out before the new season.
Would we have him back on any basis?

I would have him back on the basis that his surname represents an undeniable truth and on the proviso that he changes his surname to Guartanteedthirtyleaguegoalsaseason.

NH did very well getting rid of him when he was in his purple patch, we will miss Nicky Hammond much more than Nick Blackman, that's for sure.

Who would have thought that a bloke who's performances were laughably bad, barring a 10 week spell, during his 3 1/2 years with us was not going to suddenly up his game and become much better?

I know Ady Williams and Charlie Boy kept carping on about how selling Blackman had shown a lack of ambition from the club, however it was clearly a good bit of business by Squeaky. Blackman had a purple patch that we profited from. Couldn't help but feel that he was getting a bit too up himself towards the end though and believing all the hype. Cheers Derby.

the two things are not mutually exclusive

Clarifying that the second part of the sentence is a personal opinion.

What's the difference in prize money between 12th place and 17th place in the Sky Bet championship?

They have prize money depending which position you finish in the EPL. Thought it would be the same in the Championship?

No thanks. Sold him at the optimal moment for optimal money.

Only for 1st and 2nd place. Even then it's negligible

And since the sale of Blackman and Sa and the coincidence with the loss of form - what was the loss in revenue when the crowds dwindled?

Our loss of form was long before either of them were sold.

Prize money for winning the League is only something around £50k apparently, so I'm not sure selling Blackman for £4m will be outdone by the difference of a few quid for dropping a place or two.
