Newcastle (A) Predictions

by genome » 15 Aug 2016 11:30

Can't see a result here, surely the Geordies won't make it three in a row.

Newcastle 2-1 Reading (Beerens)

Play cricket with a Geordie and asked him what he thinks is going to happen Wednesday. He, like me, had no idea. He honestly thinks it could go either way.

I am going to sit on the fence and go for a 2-2 draw.

2-0 Toon.

We looked toothless Saturday so I can't see us scoring

3-0 to the Toon. Another defensive mix up between Al Habsi and the defence gifts them a goal but doesn't stop us playing sideways possession football at 2-0 down with 5 minutes to go. #evolution. ..

I don't care about the result (ish) so long as there is a definite improvement in performance from the wolves oxf*rd.

Still think we will be second best and give the georgdies their first 3 points of the season.

1-0

I can see the Geordies bottling it again on Wednesday night and provoking a very hostile reaction from the St James crowd.

Absolutely no pressure on our boys. We'll go there a little bit sharper than on Saturday, move the ball around a little bit quicker. Take a few less risks as Jaap will have told them not to overplay and take too many chances in the defensive areas. We'll enjoy the occasion and frustrate the home crowd with long periods of possession. The home side will lose concentration and we will hit them with two clinical Dennis Rakels strikes.

Newcastle 0 Reading 2

Boos at the end and Rafa feeling the heat.

Both times I have visited St James' Park we have been beat 3-0 and I am going on Wednesday.

Thus, I have a feeling it will be a hatrick of 3-0 defeats at Newcastle for me

Lumped on them at 4/5 which are cracking odds

After the performance on Saturday which was piss poor, I believe we're in for a long night. 3-0 to the toon.

0-0. Abysmal match.

Reading have 70% possession and do nothing with it.

Team bang out of form who, in Newcastle's case literally, can't buy a win but then their prayers are answered as Reading turn up. We've seen it so many times:

3-0 to Newcastle.

If it's anything better than a 3-0 defeat, I'll be happy.
Ameobi hat-trick. (Oh, sorry, I'll get back in my time machine).

Hopefully we'll actually learn lessons from the Wolves game, I'll gun for a 1-1.
