Rowett seems to have gone useless recently, but I don't pay much attention elsewhere so could easily be wrong.
Keane is absolutely Lollable.
Parky, Holloway or Pulis would probably do well there, though surely not big enough for Pulis's ego.
I doubt McDermott will manage again.
How the mighty have fallen, Pardew, Zola, McLaren, Hughes, Moyes.
MoN is surely finished at this point.

Hughton would be a great appointment, though I feel Millwall don't have enough potential for him.

Rowett is a good manager at clubs with a low expectation/budget. Did well at Birmingham with a low budget, did well at Burton with a low budget, did quite well at Derby as well actually. Feel it’s a bit harsh to call him useless after one poor job at Stoke

Yeah, may well just have got the wrong impression. I don't really track other clubs / players / managers.

Think Parky would be a good fit for them

Yes, agree with that. Would give him the benefit of the doub re. Stoke too as it seems to be a club rotten to the core. Poorly treated at Birmingham too. Would take him as a 3rd choice behind Ainsworth and Hughton.

Cardiff have been absolutely abject, Wednesday looked efficient, deserved lead so far

Wigan 1-0 Forest HT
Yet again, the team near the bottom dominates the team near the top

Forest, like many other teams near the top, technically aren't very good but are getting the results

I was pilloried when I said I hadn’t seen a particularly good team this season a few weeks back. And I stand by it.

Charlton were probably the b st I’d say.

Watched the last 20 - Forest woeful, not a sniff of a chance

Wigan looked surprisingly quite good though. Imagine both will still be in the champ next year

West Brom have been good when I’ve seen them on telly but they weren’t great against us. Brentford and Fulham are good in spells but I’m rarely impressed by the footballing ability of the opponents. I suppose the last team that really impressed me was Sheffield United back in February

Fulham were good but we made it ridiculously easy for them. Charlton similar, and actually were pretty poor in the first half. West Brom I thought looked good but we played well in that one.

Most teams fairly much the same quality to me otherwise- PNE started well and looked pretty good at the back. Think they got a bit complacent/ surprised by us being fairly good tbh. Not a bad side, just on a poor day

Thought Fulham looked very good going forward but highly suspect in defence. Thought Charlton looked all round solid and effective. Wednesday very dangerous on the break but nothing special. Blackbun distinctly average. Brizzle decent and Preston horseshit.

With a new manager they had no idea what our style of play was going to be. Appeared to be set up for a high pressing game. A more direct style was something of a game leveller.

Preston seem very unlucky in that aspect actually!

15/16 : First game after Clarke was sacked
16/17 : First game for Stam
17/18 : Third game for Clement
19/20 : First game for Bowen

It’s what makes the Championship as good as it is, it’s so hard to predict. Barnsley dominating Swansea, us beating Preston, Luton 3-0 Bristol, Wigan winning today, Stoke besting Fulham etc. Much rather watch the Championship than the Prem which is dying a slow death currently with around 60% of teams solely interested in defending and then adding VAR to it which is a farce

Being successful in the Championship is all down to mindset, ability to grind out 1-0 wins, a good structure etc. Very few teams are actually good footballing teams. Which is why newly promoted teams tend to struggle. Hard work alone doesn’t equal success in the Prem whereas I think it can do in the championship
