tidus_mi2 Should we bring back the match thread when they beat us at the Madejski and many of us suggested it was too early to get carried away at their form at the start of the season?

You can if you want. My point was that finishing 12th or higher wouldn't have been out of the realms of possibility.

They looked very tidy and well setup. Just shows how fcuking terrible we were to make them look like that.

I thought they were terrific in the second half. It was the game where Puscas missed a one on one just before half time. We didn’t turn up after the break.

NewCorkSeth Ah yes I seem to recall that.

I've a 100% lose rate on HNA bets

That is actually impressive. What's more impressive is that this one wasn't even an extraordinary shout. You said they'll finish top half right? That didn't seem too impossible a shout.

Tbf it's only 2 in about 20 years.

That second half was utterly deflating. It felt like the moment I realised we weren’t going to get anywhere with Gomes at the helm - got worked out so easily and comprehensively

We had gone into the game having recovered well from the opening League defeats. I expected us to win and move into the top eight and in the end we blew it. The beginning of the end forGomes.

Worst double sub I’ve seen in a while that day

Meite and Boye on for Yiadom and Richards as wingbacks. Was that ever going to work?

It was also my first match of the season and we were on a good run at the time. Then I posted this in a thread in AE:

With a record like that, we should test it Ian. $20 says Reading make the playoffs :)

Bloody hell! Cracking player in his day and that's no age at all.

A report in the Sun today says Brentford's new ground is going to postponed from it's expected opening in July but has no new date. It made me ponder how this enforced break will affect the London Irish move to West London. When does their contract expire at the Mad Stad? Will RFC say goodbye in May or June, or when the contract ends? Or, will they be able to play their games here until this season ends? Will their new ground be ready for next season, whenever that is going to be? London Irish did not choose the best time for moving home, did they?

I imagine that Reading and the RU authorities would allow LI to carry on playing at the Mad Stad on a per game basis until Brentford’s new place was ready.
