Would be the most likely scenario I think.

Why's that guys?

I guess that just seems to be like the most obviously idiotic thing a footballer would get involved in and gets you sacked.

That or it was COVID related, i.e. broke COVID rules or claimed he had COVID and coughed on someone.

Other footballer have broken COVID rules and not been sacked, would seem pretty harsh unless it was repeatedly or involved known infection.

Deliberate coughing is being taken very seriously. Some schools have issued guidance saying it is an expulsion offence so it is something I could see a player being sacked for.

Indeed, would pretty much class that as intentionally infecting someone else whether you actually had it or not.

Hendo Cardiff terminate Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's contract

The club has not explained the reasons behind the decision but BBC Sport Wales has learned it is for an alleged breach of contract.

:?

Do many clubs insist on making not killing anyone a contractual thing ?

Covered by gross misconduct and bringing the club into disrepute.

Unless it's Millwall, West Ham, Leeds or Chelsea, in which case no probs.

It isn't standard practice for the dealer to stand around watching his customers sample the produce.

Neil Harris suggested it was a serious legal case. There’s lots of noises about it being with drugs, but unless he has been caught dealing them or committed a serious crime being high most cases it results in a suspension without anyone knowing anything about it.

Sounds more like some form of abuse or violent crime.

Thought that, but then wouldn't there be a police statement by now?

Think I'm right in saying ff he'd been charged with anything it would be a matter of public record.

Neil Harris made it very clear that only a few important players know even what the breach is, so there must be further restrictions than normal(perhaps they don’t want a repeat of what was said online when Adam Johnson or Ched Evans had their cases revealed). Time will tell, it is interesting that Neil Harris also said the door is still open for him- maybe it’s still very early in the case and Mendez-Laing isn’t pleading guilty?

Now, now, that's not fair. Chelsea sacked Adrian Mutu for drug offences and it had absolutely nothing to do with it bring a cheap way of ditching a busted flush of a signing on a fcuking huge long term contract.

To be fair, Mutu was a cult hero at Verona, if only because their fans could chant his name at black players and claim they weren't being racist.

Could be.

Big win for Rotherham as I would think they and Wycombe could well be in a relegation scrap, although Rotherham are top of the league

Technically Birmingham are top of the league, based on alphabetical order

Ain’t no grievances. Good job it’s not the end of the season with LiveScore giving the title to Rotherham and Sky giving it to Brum
