Nameless I remember when we were briefly top of the Premier League. Lasted about 12 minutes IIRC, wonder if anyone screenshotted that historic moment ?

My first Mrs was from Carlisle and I was a fan (of the club)

We went up, remarkably, (Blackpool only need a draw in their last game
but lost 1-2 to relegated Villa) then won our first three games in the top
division and were clear top.

We ended up bottom.

SouthDownsRoyal Forest aren’t starting the season very well

Don't they often say how you finish the last season can influence the next? Forest crashed and burned at the end of last season and they're currently continuing in that form.

So sad.

How is Tyler Blackett, BTW?

No idea, not in the 18 at all, if we win today it will start feeling like Matt Mills v2

He played at QPR last week but wasn’t in the Forest squad at all today. He’s not injured as far as I’m aware.

Well, we'll remain 1st after game week 2 unless Bristol City beat Stoke by 3 goals or more today.

1-0 up half time. Hadn't noticed Nakhi Wells has moved there.

They got close but only a 2-0 win so we remain top.

Swansea can overtake us if they beat Wycombe in the early kick-off on Saturday.

No doubt will score against us again this season

I'm sure he was there last season?

Stranded is in Germany, it probably didn’t make the sports headlines of Bild or Deutschland Zeitung (if either of those are real papers)

Played in the cup loss to Barnsley too, so I’m guessing they were unimpressed and changed it up for the last game.

Think Bristol City will be contenders this season. They have spent a good deal of money over the summer.

Bit up and down last season, weren't they? Bit more consistency and could certainly challenge.

New manager this season, will be an interesting one to keep an eye on. Agree that consistency is their biggest hurdle to overcome though.

They do have a proven goal scorer in Wells though.

Bristol choke so badly, so often they are still in the fourth tier.

Yeah, iirc they had a tendency to fall apart under Johnson, wasn't it?

Just for the sake of pedantry, aren’t Bristol City now one of those clubs that like to call their “manager” a head coach?

Probably, I'll re-phrase...

New man in charge of the first team this season....
