that is one hell of a loss. Not sure they even have that many highly paid players now - been down a few years

With the Stoke thing, those £91m losses are from their 2nd season back in the Championship, does that mean it's too early to judge if they went over the £39m limit. So the 20/21 figures will make their 3rd season and will complete the first set of 3 financial years in the Championship.

However they lost £15m last season so they're probably well and truly oxf*rd.

Andre Ayew has left Swansea, a huge gap to fill, mid table next season I suspect.

No transfer fee but £25k a week might be a problem. wouldn`t call that cheap.

He was apparently on £80k a week at Swansea. He won’t get close to that now but would be looking at £25k a week minimum. Not for us. No point in releasing the likes of Aluko and Baldock on big wages to bring in players on even bigger wages. It has to go the other way.

Would think he'll be snapped up by a lower PL side or Champ one with parachute payments, else go abroad.

Courtney is such a tool. He is now in no man's land. His contacts for Reading FC were Gunter and Mccleary and now he is exposed for what he is i.e. fraud.

Agreed. He can't live on being Robin Friday's son for ever.

No decision made about Derby yet so they are publishing an interchangeable fixture list today in case Wycombe are reinstated in the Championship.

Does this suggest that all the other clubs under soft embargo need not fear any other sanction?

I think Derby are accused of a bit more than slightly over spending aren’t they ?

Yep, they misrepresented the cost of their players on their published accounts. The only possible reason for doing this was to lower the paper liability.

Not sure if it's actually fraudulent in a legal sense (I imagine a points deduction would be the least of their worries if it was) but it was done in a way unacceptable to the EFL and purely to fudge the figures for FFP.

A retrospective points deduction at this stage would amuse most football fans.

It would certainly raise a giggle or two.

Say what you like about our owners but they haven't grossly misrepresented the value of assets and they haven't lied on the accounts.

Yep and for which Derby really should be heavily punished. I can’t see what Derby can do if the points deduction is applied in the next few weeks. They won’t have time to go through the Courts to challenge the decision.
