1. Watford
2. Forest
3. Swansea
4. West Brom
5. Sheff Utd
6. Middlesbrough
7. Sunderland
8. QPR
9. Millwall
10. Burnley
11. Norwich
12. Stoke
13. Cardiff
14. Reading
15. Preston
16. Wigan
17. Bristol City
18. Blackburn
19. Coventry
20. Hull
21. Blackpool
22. Luton
23. Rotherham
24. Birmingham

My take away from this - there is A LOT of shite in this league, and we should actually be ok next season.

NB If Forest go up, move everyone up a place and stick Huddersfield in 15th.

LUX very close, but SCL edges it I think.

SCLS - 51°25′20″N
Ashton Gate - 51°26′24″N
Cardiff City Stadium - 51°28′22″N
The New Den - 51°29′9.43″N
Loftus Road - 51°30′33″N

So yeah, looks like SCLS is farthest south.

If peops want, I can knock together some rules for a league table prediction competition and we can have some 'fun'

Something like:
+5 for exact position
+3 for +/- 1 place
+1 for +/- 2 places
-1 for each position out you are beyond +/-3
+2 per relegation team correct
+2 per auto promotion team
+1 per play off team
+4 for PO Final losers
+10 for PO Final winners.

Something like that.

NathStPaul Might have a little flutter on Swansea to go up next season, only a couple of players away from being a really good side.

If Swansea can play like they did against us first half and have a plan B - i think you are right - will jump on also.

NathStPaul Are we the most Southern club in the league next season?

Good question...

made me do some research and a little bit of physics and geography - and can confirm - we are the most southern team.

There are a surprisingly low number of decent teams based South of us in general. I hadn't realised.

By eye Bristol looks South of the town itself marginally, maybe Cardiff too but that doesn't account for stadium location obvs.

Can see Bristol having a strong season if they sort out their defence. Although I thought they were one of the worst sides in the division we played (2 seasons on the trot actually), they managed to score more goals than any team outside the playoffs. Read somewhere that they dropped something like 15 points over the course of the season in the 90th minute alone

Can see Sheffield struggling if they lose Berge especially with MGW returning and presumably not returning. Millwall always seem dire when we play them but always surpass expectations

Aside from that, Norwich will take one of the 3 slots with Rotherham going the other way, like every other season

I think Bristol City are struggling a bit personally. Weimann managed to score on a regular basis last season but I'm not sure if he, or the team, will replicate that. With FFP well on their radar now, any points deductions or impending constraints, such as a transfer embargo, could well see them slide even further down the table and struggling, particularly if they end up selling a couple of key players without being able to adequately replace them.

Looking at one of those salary sites, looks like Brizzle are paying out some serious wedge to a lot of their players

Know their crowds are reasonable but wouldn’t be surprised if FFP bites them hard in the backside this year one way or another

This deal put the Olise sale into perspective. The leagues best youngster goes to Liverpool for basically peanuts. At least they got that 20% sell-on clause I guess.

Yeah it does, I'm sure Fulham will be as frustrated as what we are to lose someone with potentially such value for such little money in the grand scheme of things, particularly when you look at the sums of money some other promising youngsters have left for in recent years and others that seem to have high values these days as well.

It's pretty much a formal policy of the Premier League. They agree to make 'solidarity' payments to the lower leagues and in return they are allowed to poach the players for minimal return.

It's basically like a rebate all said and done. Brentford did it well with their use of a B team which stopped other clubs in the UK from easily poaching their players through the youth ranks.

They could have been a rival but how have Everton got away with writing off £170m to covid losses? It sounds like an obscene amount of money.

Let’s have this League table competition but allow nobbers to post it when more is known about each squad. Perhaps a cut off point for submissions by end third week in July.
