For the Stadium sale? I doubt it. We had a realistic valuation and didn't deliberately record it in a different tax year to pass FFP.

Covid may well give the club the window it needs to address legacy issues.

It seems unlikely, but we were still under investigation.

Think the ground sale element is OK the issue is general overspend on the playing side of things though quite how any club can be penalised for anything FFP related this or next season when the cash flow for clubs is severely restricted is going to take some justification. Of course it all depends how much of a basket case Reading was adjudged before things happened and how much it remains one will be after 16th October (when the current transfer window closes). Personally think in the current climate if a club can be shown to be behaving in the best manner it can (and that would include regular discussions with the FL over dealings) then it will be given the benefit of the doubt.

See Bournemouth are now looking for a new manager. Wonder if any Championship team will pick up Howe?

Why on earth would he need to manage in the Championship? As soon as a lower end Premier League job comes up he will likely get it.

Wonder how “mutual” it was because he did a superb job with Bournemouth. Maybe he stayed too long & should’ve tested himself at a higher level sooner? Either way, I’d love him at Reading but it’s not an attractive job for him is it!

I think he has proved he is more than capable to manage a premier league side. He may be tempted if a decent championship club need a manager but doubt he would jump into that just yet

You know what? I reckon that would be a mistake from him. Taking the "West Ham" job as I like to think of it. He might be better off taking a break and waiting for a strong Championship job.

This, He's not a go in and sort them out in 2 games manager. He strikes me as needing a project. PL clubs about to drop out of the league don't really fit the bill. However I could be wrong.

I think EH is an amazing manager and seems an incredibly decent guy as well - think Bournemouth would have been a very good bet to go straight up again with him; without him, they might very easily drop ... although they do have decent investment behind them. I would agree that his best bet would be to drop down to the Champ and build a team up and take them up ... teams like Preston or Swansea.

I suspect Fulham will win tonight, Brentford don't do well in the play-offs, much like us.

8 attempts, no promotions. However they can join us and Sheffield United on 4 Final defeats tonight.

I didn’t realise that was their record, it’s worse than ours.

Yep, we've just had more final defeats, unless they lose today.

You wonder if there's too much riding on the Championship Playoff Final for the games to be entertaining

The recent finals have been 1-0, 1-0, 2-0, 1-0, 0-0, 1-0 and 2-1. Last year being the first time both teams have scored since 2012.
