New owners probably had it in mind as soon as they took over last week.
Hull players putting everything in to impress = 6 points.

Feel a bit sorry for McCann all things considered as Hull have been up against it for a few years now, hopefully they do a Birmingham and appoint a Zola-esque figure and start going backwards.

From BBC (paraphrased)

Chelsea have signed Dylan Williams, 18, from Derby. Made his debut aged 17 last season, and has made 9 first team appearances.

His departure follows those of David Marshall, Phil Jagielka and Graeme Shinnie

Look likely to appoint Shota Arveladze, who has a fairly average record in Turkey and Israel but did very well in his last job in Uzbekistan - though was at the richest/most successful club there and been out of work since leaving there in December 2020.

So it's likely either a genius move or a disaster waiting to happen.

Preston sign Cameron Archer on loan from Villa, Villa fans really bigging him up saying he'll terrorise Championship defences, can't tell if they're being sarcastic or serious, guy got 6 goals in 29 appearances last season at National League Solihull Moors

Another couple of key games tomorrow night.

Birmingham v Peterboro and Forest v Barnsley. Hate relying on other teams to cock up, but we could do with a couple of home wins here.

Recognise his name, I believe he had a stint at Rangers about 15+ years ago?

Knowing Hull, it will end up being a disaster. But then again, their fortunes have to change sometime.

We aren't in that territory yet - yes, if they win both games in hand they go 3 points ahead of us but we still have to play them and if Barnsley somehow win both of their games they are still behind us (and we have to play them).

Birmingham City is a bit of a strange one. I’d want them both to lose that game if possible! They are not very good and we really need as many teams as possible to remain in touching distance. If we had got a draw on Saturday I would’ve said a draw in the Brum v Peterborough game would be preferable, but as it stands it’s just best if they beat Peterborough for our short term sakes. Forest should beat Barnsley.

I think Birmingham would beat Peterborough, but even if they lose to Peterborough, it's not the end of the world either I don't think as they are very likely to still be below us, even if they are level on points.

I just can't see Peterborough winning that many games between now and the end of the season, probably about 5 or half a dozen if I was to take a realistic guess.

Thought his name was a blast from the past. Just looked him up, was at Ajax in the 1990s, so had him when i was managing Ajax in Championship Manager 8)

Bournemouth could go down to 4th when QPR beat us on Saturday

Lolz about them going on about the points record and going unbeaten. Such a shame

Nothing will make me happier than us staying up and Bournemouth staying down with no parachute money next season.
