Very good save. She can be as mad as they come but is a great shot-stopper.

Disappointing that we wasted a great opportunity when we counter-attacked immediately after the save and clearance - that would have been a fantastic sucker punch right at the end. Fara Williams a little rusty after her injury absence.

Always happy to praise the club when they do things right, the coverage of the Women’s team is first class. Plenty of articles and reports quickly posted on the website and social media where every game is reported live on Twitter. Why is that so different to that of how they cover the Academy ? I am told that someone is employed just to cover the women’s team, and what a difference it makes.

After tonight`s Conti cup matches, the Royals cannot now qualify as 1 of the 2 best runners up- Durham and Palace are above us in the final standings.

70% possession

Hit woodwork twice

Yet still only managed to draw 1-1 with Bristol City who just had two shots on target!

It was indeed typical - we very nearly lost the game in about the last minute of stoppage time. And the goal conceded came from our corner (or possibly freekick deep in their half - can't remember which)!

Their keeper made some decent saves but we missed some great chances

Yep. Tash Harding has clearly spent too much time playing in defence recently! She had at least three chances where it seemed pretty much as easy to score as miss.

That was a piss poor result against Bristol, only there 2nd point of the season. The owners have put a lot of money into the ladies team, it seems Kelly Chambers is exempt from getting the sack? I know the top three is out of the question but that squad should be top five easy and we’re dumped out of the cup by a second tier part time team.
