No attendance figures are given on the BBC or Reading FC websites, so I presume fans are not allowed in yet.

Last week the PL, EFL, FA, WSL sent a joint letter to the Government asking that fans be allowed into games. They had already held trials and allowed some fans in a few games, but things seem to be changing every day at the moment.

No fans at Elite women's level I.e. top 2 divisions.

Has led to the stupid situation whereby Lewes mens side are allowed crowds of up to 500 but the women's team play in front of empty stands - in the same stadium. Their average crowd last year was around 400.

As daft as fa cup games where depending on where you are in the pyramid you may or may be allowed to have fans at a game. In some cases a lower placed team has had fans while a higher placed one can’t atvthe same game !

The Royal Forester Birmingham had nil points before today, three defeats from the start of the season. The Reading Women could have gone up to 4th. (but would have gone up to 5th.) with a win today. Trust a Reading team to give their rivals a kick start to the season. Just like the men's team most seasons!

Yep, they seem to have taken over from the men's team of previous seasons with an appalling lack of clinical finishing. 61% possession v Birmingham and 22 shots but only 4 of those were on target!

With Fara Williams injured/well below her best, they are also lacking any real creativity. Jess Fishlock partly compensates but they really need more players who can create openings from very little.

Some of the players looked disappointed at the end but it was a very good performance and result against a Man City team crammed full of England & USA Internationals.

From the RFC website

Women’s Football Weekend 2020 will be the biggest yet as every Women’s Super League game is spaced across the entire weekend, ensuring fans can watch each one, including Reading’s trip to Everton which will be shown on the BBC Red Button.

The initiative from the FA is to enable fans to watch every Barclays FA Women’s Super League match, by having them spread evenly over the entire weekend with no overlap.

Reading FC Women travel to undefeated Everton on Saturday 14th November for a 4.30pm kick-off, and the match will be broadcast live on the Red Button service on the BBC.

Reading’s away game at Tottenham on Sunday November 8th being played at Barnet FC has been brought forward 24 hours to Saturday 7th KO 2pm because Barnet have a home FA cup match on that day.
The next game is on Wednesday evening a Conti cup group game away at West Ham KO 7.30pm. Match is at Dagenham and Redbridge`s ground.
