Holy shit is that a Jaap Stam's barmy army chant? Oh how quickly the fans perk up.

strap YES!!!!!

Shame it took a full back to show the forward the way to goal. Now presuambtly Stam's total non-football means we now sit deep for near on the last hour to try (unsuccessfully) to defend a slim lead??

What is it with this 35 yard diagonal ball. Played about 5 of them now.....all unsuccessful.

Nearly scored another training ground corner routine but Chris Martin kicks the ball into his other leg

Think it’s similar to McDermott’s style of kick off in 11/12, if a defender makes a mistake we have rapid wingers to take advantage

Somehow you make us scoring a goal seem negative.

Jolly good.

Only watched the last 5-10 minutes but we looked to be trying a few more positive forward balls and a bit slicker. Still not enough movement to give good forward options often enough. Noticeable that when Moore tries to burst forward the team is more interested in covering the gap he's left than giving him the option of a positive pass.

Barrow looks a bit half-hearted, but his style of winger often does. Aluko seemed alright but too deep to really get anything going. Needs to try to be a bit more positive.

All in all, delighted to be ahead. Forest looking like they'll take a tumble anywhere within 30 yards of our box, so expect Tomlin to stick a deadball past Mannone eventually.

Watching on iFollow and, tbf, we seem to be playing with more urgency, a bit of passion and fight and looking for a forward ball ... and 35 yard hoofs to the right hand corner....

Actually, watched the goal again, and the possession and willingness to run and work for each other in the 30 seconds or so before the shot-cross and keeper parry was pretty decent. Cool finish from Richards to steady himself.

In other news, Barcelona seem to be what Stam aspires to achieve.

75% possession, three shots of which none have been on target. The Russians of Fulham Broadway just 25% possession, seven shots and one on target.
