Can you quote me on Carrico, because, like this conversation, I think you haven't a clue what I'm actually saying.

I can't think of any circumstance where I'd pick Carrico in a best RFC XI.

You said that Shorey wasn't one of the best left backs in the Championship because Ashley Cole was better, despite not playing any good ever in this league but because he was great for Chelsea.

Therefore based on your theory and on other achievements Carrico is our best ever player because he has the most medals and won the most.

Such flawed logic you have Ian

From Despair To Where? Calm down, it's Ian, it goes with the territory.

You could agree with him 100% and he'd still argue he was more right than you.
 HoF worthy.

(Sorry Ian, but it did make me titter)

Or as we say in the real world , no !
He won 4 trophies
Keown won 7
Leighton won 10

If you want to play sneaky and include runner’s up medals he won 8 but then you would need to add Keown’s 3 Community Shield medals.

And then of course there is John O’Shea with 14 !

Leighton Baines never played for Reading so you can take that out.

So basically Ian thinks Martin Keown, John O'Shea and Carrico are in our best ever 11 because he thinks Ashley Cole is the best LB in the Championship ever

Nah.... Jim Leighton was a long time ago, not much beats my Syria moment. I was so pissed off at such a stupid mistake that I really did know better about.

Delighted to say that David Meyler now qualifies for this thread. Based on what I've seen of him on the pitch he's probably looking at Combined Counties clubs at this very moment.
