So Aluko instead of McNulty? Christ he must be regretting coming here.

I think the worst thing about it is the Gunter/Aluko combination. Aluko has had two games with Yiadom behind him, both Derby at home and Blackburn away and Aluko played two decent games then. It's clear and obvious Gunter and Aluko don't work together so why does he keep trying it? Gunter works with McCleary a lot better, so I'm hoping it's Garath on the right with Aluko on the left

Yes I agree with this. If Gunter is to start then at least play him down the same flank as McCleary. As Sutekh says our midfield is also desperately light defensively.
Why not give McNulty a start? Aluko has had plenty of chances over the past 15 months and had precious few goals and assists to his name.
Pleased Loader is on the bench again.

oxf*rd awful team selection. If we lose the supporters will fully turn on Clement.

What I don't understand, besides starting Aluko, is that he acknowledges Wigan are a physical side and then picks a physically weak midfield.

It’s a rancid side tbh. Really not happy with it

Yes - thought Bacuna would be a certain starter

Feel weirdly good about this, Loader to come on and get the winner. Swift or GMac will also score. 2-1 win

It feels like the last throw of the dice by Clement.
I thought we kept losing games when Gunter and Aluko started.
Oh well, over to you GMac and Meite (in the hope that they get the ball).

Perhaps PC is setting up to go for goals and stuff the defensive side of things.

Come off it Victor. Gunts is not great but we don’t do any better when he doesn’t start.

Wigan with the ball in the back of the net, I roll me eyes, oh here we go again but it's ruled out for offside.

If it's for Clement, a fast flowing river would be more useful!

Quote JLow:

Aluko loses the ball and then commits a foul - lucky not to get a yellow there.

Not tested their keeper yet, no surprise there.

Another 45 minutes without a single shot on target!

Good to see how well the shooting practice went over the international break.

We were hanging at the back end of the first half.
