I think we should all put a couple of quid on Ian Royal if only to see him officially in the Bookies odds!

Until I read read this article I thought we were getting our club back. If this agent was behind signing those players, it dosn't show much for his knowledge. If Nigel Howe allows this to happen, I will lose all faith in his ability to turn the club around and get us back on track.

Initially thought Luis would be an interesting/exciting option but hearing that we he doesn't speak English, doesn't last more than two years at a club and we'll be stuck buying players represented by Kia J, now I'm not so keen.

Haha JLow would never have access to this sort of info. Charles Watts is still the best Reading reporter and he hasn't worked here for 2 years.

This deal sounds like a load of trouble waiting to happen.

I’m all for new ideas but this seems like a big bag of wrong.

Sounds dodgy but could still be successful.

The only thing for sure is that whoever the manager is RoyalBlue will hate them. Unless it's the bird who manages the Women's team.

Must admit, i am warming to the give "Scott Marshall" 5 games to see what he can produce? he seems to be doing a remarkable job with the U23s and it would fit into the bringing youth through the ranks idea!! and maybe this would be the new "Reading Way" of moving forward.

The Championship is full of good tactically aware managers. Tall ask. Just because he's done well with a good group of U23 players.

Listened to a podcast recently which discussed the effect a new manager can have and the stats to back up the 'bounce' effect and they said it shows if a new manager doesn't get the desired reaction from the players and a change in performance in his first 8 games you should get rid and start again

Alex Ferguson at Man Utd. Played 8. W1 D1 L6

Sums up modern football and the treatment of managers. .

If Watts' piece is true, and he is usually pretty reliable, how does a super-agent dictating who the new manager and coaching team may be. mainly motivated by money no doubt, qualify as being a return to the 'Reading way?'

100% agree, if this happens and that parasite of an agent gets near our club again then they can all fcuk right off.

Doesn't seem to fit the promised regeneration of the club. Unlikely to generate a surge in half season ticket sales.

Had Norwich lost the derby at Ipswich at the start of September Daniel Farke might well have been sacked within days. They were twenty minutes from a defeat which would have left them with W1 D1 L4, this on top of a decidedly average first full season in charge. Now look at them. You're absolutely right, most of the time managers are being judged far too soon.

The Leeds manager doesn`t speak a word of English, hasn`t done them any harm so far.
