2 against QPR. 2. Stoke, 2, WBA, (dunno where you got 3 from) 2 yesterday.
We certaily owe the woodwork a dept of gratitude since JG came in.

Hitting the post doesn't even count as a shot on target

Most come because defences force attackers to shoot from further out

Nobody said they did count as shots on tatget (pedant)-it was fairly lightweight discussion over the fact that opposition have appeared to hit our woodwork quite a lot-nothing more than that,, just an observation.

Oh you mean a MEANINGLESS observation...

So you're saying a scuffed daisy cutter to the keepers feet is better because it's on target than a pelter that has the keeper beat and hits the woodwork?

One is a matter of inches from a goal and the other is never going in.

Not only that, but you can score off the rebound from the woodwork. You can't score from one the keeper's tamely picked out.

An Ok performance and at times looked like we would score a 2nd without quite doing enough. You could tell that Boro needed that result more than we did though.

If you look at the team, we were missing 5 likely starters in Oliveria, Meite, Swift, Barrow and Blackett so to be as competitive as we were is credit to those who came in.

Positives: Loader's goal, Barrett and Olise looking decent and not out of place when they came on.
Negatives: poor game for Gunter and Yiadom, McCleary's speed of thought/action just not there at the mo at least - in the first half he had an easy ball to put Baldock through on the keeper but took far too long and was crowded out.

NO

The shots on target stat is a poor one because many so-called are barely pass-backs

Dave Edwards gets an unfair rep. Yeah, he wasn't the best, but he grafted and seems like a great guy.

Great to see Fernandez showing an interest too!

Fabulous stuff.

If only there was a better stat available for measuring the quality of chances generated by a team...

Really?

Judging by the social media comments whenever he was picked, you would think the opposite!

Even on HNA, the fact that he wrote a book for charity seems a crime a tad less than Pol Pot’s.. No idea why an average footballer elicits such visceral hate.

I would have liked us to keep Fernandez, decent footballer and he absolutely loved being here.
Remember him finally scoring for us in a cup game and he celebrated as if he had scored the winner in the world cup final.

Another midfield player for next season wouldn't go amiss.

Being congratulated on staying up? They should be embarrassed and hanging their heads in shame.

He came for a pre season friendly, liked the club so much he asked if he could stay.
Very good technically and would be great with the way we play now.
