Annoying , but probably valid article. After all, for all we know some team in the Bulgarian 2nd division has got 107.

Most points in Europe ever..... 106 Celtic then 105 and 104 Barry Town.....

I think they are referring just to top flight football although mentioning Barry Town in the Welsh Premiership is a bit daft.

The fact that the article says top flight football kind of gives the game away

Celtic shouldn't count. like putting Liverpool and Man City in the Conference League.

Corona Virus might just save us from Liverpool beating 106.

Might just stop Liverpool winning the title as well - not funny, I know ( )

I like Liverpool, but I'm still chuckling at the possibility.

If the league does continue, I wonder if this break would have helped us? Joao will get some fitness under his belt and I think it would be fair to say our best form came when he was leading the line.

Record watch is back, Liverpool draw today means their maximum is down to 107pts.

From 8 less games. Not a comparison really.

If Liverpool beat the 106 total then we won't be able to go on about it any more without looking like idiots. It's as simple as that. Sure, we still have the EFL record - but it's embarrassing to talk about a record that another team beat in 8 fewer games.

It pisses me off because the media dont give a oxf*rd about it anyway. I've heard loads about how man City are the record holders in English football (not the Prem) and In a BBC article about the best ever 2nd division team they put wolves who had millions and a super agent and Newcastle who walked it a few years back over us

Good, lots of talk about Liverpool chasing Man City's points record, not one mention of that being the PL points record. Obviously bloody impressive that Liverpool were even threatening the 106 in 8 less games but I'll be happy to keep it.

The club clearly thinks the Prem counts towards their record :
