mikey0406 We are 11/4 to finish in the top half! I think that is great value!

Price on skybet

That was 6/1 48 hours ago with some bookmakers.

You can get 16/1 for us to have a top 6 finish with Unibet. I don't expect us to make it, but a price of 6/1 or so would definitely reflect reality better after the deadline. I'm definitely going to put on £30.

Yeah play offs is out of the question for me

Top half with the new perm signings settling and performing, Olise in the first 11 and some momentum for 2020/21 would be a good season

I've got us EW to win the league @251-1.

I'm expecting a mid table finish however..

One thing to remember from our delightful time with Clarke is that if you're no where at half way, your season long loans sometimes just give up and coast.

Hopefully, we haven't recruited wasters like John for our loans. And more like players with something to prove regardless of where we finish.

It amazes me how many Reading fans on twitter (queue the "its twitter, what did you expect?" comments) are replying to people predicting us to be relegated with "we signed Puscas, we are not going down" and the like.

I'm confident we should be mid table this season but stop oxf*rd cursing us with over confidence.

Do me a favour. We were falling off a cliff long before McDermott came in and had to try to put back together the shattered shards of our squad.

Were we only level on points because of our FFP deduction ?

NewCorkSeth I'm confident we should be mid table this season but stop oxf*rd cursing us with over confidence.

Or cursing us with ‘If we splash the cash there’s always a feeling it will end very badly’ :)

URZZZZ On the eve of the first game, this is my prediction for the league

West Brom
Cardiff
-----------------
Stoke
Brentford
Fulham
Preston
------------------
Luton
Forest
Leeds
Reading
Bristol City
Blackburn
Millwall
Boro
Swansea
Derby
Barnsley
Birmingham
Wigan
Huddersfield
Sheffield Wednesday
----------------------------
QPR
Charlton
Hull

Huddersfield manager will be the first to go, with the one at Derby not too far behind

It's said a lot that the Championship is getting stronger but I think it looks a pile of tripe other than the top two. Leeds won't get near this season either

Not a bad start

This is going to be a fun thread to look back on.

I'm getting the same feeling as Stam's second season, that the corner is just around the corner and things will turn, eventually, just, after the next game, or that game after that. Though there's always a next game where things might just turn.

A couple of games in I'm going for 9th. Going to take time to settle this squad into a team.

I'm at no idea now. Lose tomorrow and can easily see us with 0 from 15. Win and we could get to 7 from 15. So yeah, :!: :?:

Lets hope these first five / six games don't define our season the way the first six did last year. We just spent the entire season trying to play catch up.
