genome A team "taking time to gel" is one of those annoying football buzz-phrases that doesn't actually mean anything


Unsurprisingly you've clearly never played football at any sort of level of you think you can chuck 6-7 new players into a team end expect them to play as a team instantly.

In fact, I doubt you e never kicked a ball in anger in your life.

How come teams need to “gel” to play well, but play badly when they are having a sticky patch?
