You live and die by your results and ultimately ours have been poor.

More than that, the tactical naivety of the last few games did it for me.

A good talker and a handsome charmer, but as in business, those types tend to come unstuck if there's no substance...

We have the squad, now we need a high intensity style and a good motivator to build some momentum and results

Jagermesiter1871 oxf*rd great. Fire another manager, 11 games into the season, having made whole sale signings after 3 games, so effectively after 8 games. Modern football is shit. We are shit. This is another shit decision. oxf*rd giving any time for a manager to actually bed in and get the players playing the way he want's. Continually firing managers without giving any the time to do anything is oxf*rd suicidal and is a trap. Hello league 1.

If Gomes is sacked we will be appointing our seventh manager inside five years.

I'm disappointed that he's been sacked, but not surprised.

If he's lost the dressing room then it can only go one way. That's disapointing considering that the team spirit he instilled last season was crucial in us staying up but tactically we seem to have the same issues cropping up each week, and no obvious plan in place to turn that round.

You tell him DD.

It's definitely not DD. DD PM'd me within hours of me saying it was DD to assure me he wasn't on HNA and it definitely isn't him.

 Apparently DD thinks my brain is made of custard.

I think the consensus of opinion re Gomes will be along the lines of "lovely bloke, out of his depth"

I'm genuinely sorry for him, but really hope Bowen doesn't get his old mate Hughes in, as he is an integral part of the manager merry go round and will be only in it for himself. Much better to get a young hungry manager in the Ainsworth mould.

Just IMHO of course.

I get the impression the whole thing nosedived after the Charlton game with the team when he openly criticized Joao and Puscas after dropping them. Probably wasn't his best move.

With respect it was clear before that something was up. Players body language has been wrong for some time.
I suspect but don't know they had already sensed a nice guy was in over head.
