From Despair To Where? You don't really get humour, do you krapmle?

Or punctuation.

I don't normally display posts of people I block but your comment made me display kraphead's post and  thanks glad I did.

Does anybody remember the Royals Rendezvous?
Did one corporate thingy there, terrible atmosphere, but probably reflective of the time.
Were Mr and Mrs Kearney the hosts ?
As I was one of the hosts I volunteered to walk round to the “prawn” sandwich entrance,so my “guests” could catch the bus (really ) round in comfort.
After the game we were in the “hospitality “ bar.Archie Lovell came in to accept man of the match. From memory it was like a cave with really low ceilings.
We sometimes forget how much Mr Mad achieved with this club.

Why can't you type in a readable format?

Always enjoyed it there but mainly as was one of easiest places for 15/16 yo me to get served and enjoy lock ins. Seem to recall almost every teenage boy having a crush on the Kearney's daughter.

2 days and that's the best comeback you can muster??

Still waiting. Come on, tell us what you know, or can we assume from your silence that a bad case of constipation has stopped you from talking?

Yep, he made some vaguely threatening comments along the line of "I know who you are" and then edited the post to remove the comments when I laughed at him because he was unable to delete it.

In all honesty, proper playground level threats and not really worth the dignity of any further comment.

I know it’s relatively recent but no nostalgia thread should be complete without mentions of the helicopters on the madjeski Stadium pitch.

I'm sure it was Elm Park, some promotion party, I think Donny last game 1985/86?

Yeah, I'd imaging a parachutist hitting the ground after snagging the Mad Stad roof would probably have more than a broken leg to contend with.

The parachutist ‘Roman-candled’ a bit before hitting the ground (at great speed) at EP

The grey matter fades a bit over the years, but can remember being pissed watching it all and cat-calling (because I at that time could’ve done it better...honest)...

...was it the Donny ‘fancy dress’ game? .....again too pissed back then to correlate or compute....but can remember the dozen or so (and only) Donny fans all dressed up in the Town End and being mightily impressed by their effort and participation.

Anybody attend the charideee game a few weeks later? RFC legends versus the EastEnders cast?

I was there. They let out West Tip to fertilise the pitch as well.

To those not in the know, West Tip was that year's National Winner.
