It did feel quite harsh, him and Manset but couldn’t really think of many others. Couldn’t really fit in a LM or a RB to be honest, our LM really have been average

Popa was worse in honesty, Aluko had some good games at least

If we’re doing worst XI relative to transfer values, then sure, Aluko, Ilori etc are in the team but we’ve had worse individuals

Drenthe had the odd good game and had talent, we’ve certainly had worse than him

Manset was terrible let’s be honest, but his backheel against Bristol and double against Millwall might make it slightly harsh

What a depressing thread seeing the teams submitted with hardly a decent player amongst them when compared with the previous decade-Gylfi of course is the exception.

Tbf you could make a great team with players like Chalobah and Ake in it but they dont count do they?

I tried to shy away from loan players as I don't think they should count.

Ake, was oxf*rd class though.

Yeah I tried to stick to "best with us".
Otherwise something like:
---------------Martinez
Yoadom---CB---Ake---Bertrand
----------Carrico---Chalobah
Kebe-----------Gylfi-------------Jobi
------------------Long

Manset was an absolute beast. If he could have run about for more than 10 minutes without collapsing in a heap, he'd have been a legend.

thinking about this team really highlights how much dross weve had across the decade especially in the last 5 years

Harsh on Appiah and probably Popa, who both really just didn't play enough. Popa was decent enough off the bench in Stam Year 1 and Appiah did a decent job in the few games he actually played in.

So, for dreadful players, you can't go wrong with throwing in Drenthe for a start.

Manset was bought above his talent level, had a decent stab at 2nd tier but lacked fitness and finesse. Can't fault him for trying.

Other contenders, while I'm here: Denzell Gravenberch

Didn’t you just say Appiah and Popa were harsh considering they didn’t play much? Surely Gravenberch played less than these two?

That’s what I found hardest, I wanted to make sure people had at least 3/4 appearances otherwise Travner/Knight would have been there etc
