Stranded
Basildon 40% sell on clause if Sport Witness are to be believed.

Yep but no fee. So he is great and we flog him for a handsome sum great - if not we've just paid 2.5 years of probably fairly moderate wages in Championship terms.

Dont most Brazlian league players earn dick all? He could be coming on very low wages.

Notts Royal Or we’re planning ahead in case we lose Swift or Ejaria in the summer?

Ejaria is currently on loan. McCleary is past his best. Likewise Adam. A solid addition to the midfield ranks is welcome. Will take weight off Swift.

JimmytheJim Ejaria is a reading player.

Not yet he’s not.
But contractually he will be on June 1st.
We’ve basically got him on HP....

JimmytheJim Ejaria will be a reading player.

Corrected.

Pele on the other hand isn't a done deal and with Adam getting on that leaves just RIno (and East) in the more defensive role.

If this is a case of bringing in someone now to be integrated in the squad to play a part next season once a few midfielders are gone then it's good succession planning.

Not sure about this signing. We have made a huge number of permanent and loan signings in recent years. It has left us with a bloated squad where we have plenty of players at a similar level. Hence our reserves are competitive.
Not convinced this guy is going to be any better to what we already have.

Call me old fashioned but I`m prepared to wait and see, you never know he might be good.

I know but we do have Pele and Rinomhota. Ok Pele’s loan expires at the end of the season but I would prefer we focus on signing him. I also think Rinomhota still has a future with the club. Sometimes less is more.

I’m happy enough with it. He may be of similar level to some of the others but probably cheap and hopefully useful utility player. His experience has mainly come in the Brazilian top flight I think which is competitive

His English is half decent as well which will certainly help.

It’s a bit of a gamble but probably allows us to let Gunter leave in the summer and maybe spend the money which we might have spent on a 29 year old(?) Pelé elsewhere

We seem to make a lot of signings these days. Was it 9 in the summer? Our turnaround is considerably larger every season. Fewer signings for me please with less of a scattergun approach

Free transfer isn’t it? With 40% sell on? If it works great,if it doesn’t No real shame it’s a no risk signing (as long we aren’t paying him silly wages which I very much doubt)

It's the Portuguese spelling of it, Genome was being topical.

What can Reading fans expect from Araruna?

Well, they can expect a solid player. In Brazil he's what we label a 'European footballer'. A physical player, a good defender. Don't expect creativity or glimpses of 'samba' football from him, though.
